Purpose: This study aimed to assess the association of anxiety, headache, and insomnia on the QoL of patients with long COVID-19.
Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional survey between August 2020 and March 2023. A total of 200 participants were eligible, 53 were excluded and 147 patients with long COVID were included.
Background: Whether soluble urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor (suPAR) could be a valuable prognostic indicator remains uncertain.
Materials & Methods: Patients from STADE-HF (Soluble Suppression of Tumorigenesis-2 as a Help for Management of Diagnosis, Evaluation and Management of Heart Failure) were included for analysis.
Results: 95 patients were included.
This paper reviews involvement of the serotonergic system in the control of food intake and satiety. It is of great interest to understand the relevance of this system for physiological control of energy balance and obesity. Over 35 years of research suggest that serotonin (5-HT) plays an important role in satiety.

Objectives: To evaluate the effect of BMI (body mass index) in the postoperative period of elderly patients undergoing CABG.
Methods: Cross-sectional retrospective study, carried out in academic hospital, with all patients (n=290), aged or above 60 years, undergone CABG, from August 2006 to July 2007. The patients were divided into tertiles of BMI (<22, 22-27, >27 kg/m(2)).
Background: The purpose of this study was to determine the total content of trans fatty acids (TFA) in subcutaneous, retroperitoneal and visceral fat of morbidly obese and non-obese patients submitted to bariatric surgery or plastic and abdominal surgery.
Methods: The adipose tissues were obtained by surgery; lipids were extracted, saponified and esterified. TFA were measured by FTIR-ATR spectroscopy.
