Unlabelled: While mineral weathering (MWe) plays a key role in plant growth promotion and soil fertility, the molecular mechanisms and the genes used by bacteria to weather minerals remain poorly characterized. Acidification-based dissolution is considered the primary mechanism used by bacteria.
