The incidence of anemia increases with the stage of chronic kidney disease (CKD). Erythropoietin (EPO) deficiency is a common cause of anemia in CKD. Erythropoietin-stimulating agents (ESAs) are the mainstay of the treatment.

Cattails ( L.) are naturally occurring aquatic macrophytes with significant industrial potential because of their abundance, high-quality fibers, and high fiber yields. This study is the first attempt to investigate how phenological development and plant maturity impact the quality of cattail fibers as they relate to composite applications.

Crush syndrome, resulting from crush injury, and acute kidney injury (AKI) are the most common causes of in-hospital deaths after earthquakes. The aim of this study is to convey our experience after the devastating Turkey-Syria earthquake and to identify the risk factors of crush syndrome and crush-related AKI.

Land-based aquaculture systems continue to increase in popularity as they offer the benefits of controlling diseases, managing water quality, and minimizing threats to wild populations of fish. However, these systems discharge wastewater high in N and P.

Due to the inverse relationship between kidney volume and kidney function, risk assessments have been presented on the basis of kidney volume. The aim of this study was to use magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-based kidney volume assessment for risk stratification in pediatric ADPKD and to investigate clinical and genetic differences among risk groups.

Purpose: To assess macular sensitivity and fixation pattern obtained by microperimetry and ganglion cell complex (GCC) obtained by optical coherence tomography (OCT) in cases with unilateral amblyopia and to compare with control.
Methods: The study was conducted with 30 patients with amblyopia, aged 5-18 years, and 30 control eyes of healthy children in the same age group. Participants underwent full ophthalmological examination.

Collapsing glomerulopathy (CG) is a proliferative disease characterized by segmental or global wrinkling of the glomerular basement membrane and the formation of pseudocrescents, whereas focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) is characterized by podocytopenia, and focal and segmental sclerosis of the glomeruli. Mutations in NPHS1, NPHS2, WT1, PLCE1, CD2AP, ACTN4, and TRPC6 have been reported in steroid-resistant FSGS patients. The mutations p.

We aimed to evaluate the clinical parameters, histopathological findings of nephrotic syndrome (NS) patients, and independent factors predicting steroid resistance in a single tertiary center. One hundred and sixty-two children (57 girls and 105 boys) with NS who were followed between 1998 and 2018 were analyzed in this retrospective cohort. The median (interquartile range; range) age and follow-up time were 4.

CAPS is the most severe form of APS, especially when accompanied by complement dysregulation, causes progressive microvascular thrombosis and failure in multiple organs. In this report, a case of CAPS with TMA accompanied by a genetic defect in the complement system is presented.

Materials And Methods: Serum hemoglobin, blood urea nitrogen, serum creatinine, calcium, parathormone, magnesium, and phosphorus levels were measured in 62 children with CKD aged between 4 and 17 years. Intraoral examinations of the patients were performed by two different pediatric dentists.
Background: This study aimed to retrospectively evaluate the effectiveness of hydroxyapatite-coated (HA-coated) implants and other caput-collum implants in preventing cut-out observed in treatment with proximal femoral nail (PFN) of intertrochanteric femur fractures in elderly patients.
Methods: A total of 98 consecutive patients (56 males and 42 females; mean age: 79.42 (61-115) years) treated with three differ-ent PFNs for intertrochanteric femoral fractures were retrospectively examined.
Antibiotics in wastewater are a growing environmental concern. Increased prescription and consumption rates have resulted in higher antibiotic wastewater concentration. Conventional wastewater treatment methods are often ineffective at antibiotic removal.

BS can also be classified by phenotype (antenatal, classic). Patients with mutations in the same gene can present different phenotypes.

Methods: Patients' characteristics, serum creatinine, albumin, vitamin B levels, urine analysis, spot urine protein/creatinine, microalbumin/creatinine, beta-2 microglobulin/creatinine ratios, estimated glomerular filtration rates (eGFR), treatments, kidney biopsies, and genetic analyses were evaluated.

In recent years, the demand of people for medicinal and aromatic plants has dramatically increased. For this reason, a large number of researches are being conducted to make these plants more quality. In this sense, this study explored the effects of domestic peat, bat guano, chicken and sheep manures, and vermicompost on the growth, quality traits, and nutrient contents of basil (Ocimum basilicum L.

Materials And Methods: Biochemical, clinical, and imaging findings were collected at presen- tation and the last clinic visit, and results of the genetic analysis were recorded.
Results: Our study included 9 patients (3 female, 33%).
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of Client Attachment to Therapist Scale (CATSTR) which provides a framework for measuring and conceptualizing the relationship between the therapist and the client.
Method: The study included 191 individuals with a mean age of 24.41 years who had received a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 15 sessions of therapy for different psychological problems.
The effect of extraction time, temperature, and alkali concentration on the physical and mechanical properties of cattail ( L.) fibres were investigated using five levels of time (4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 h), four levels of temperature (70, 80, 90, and 95 °C), and three levels of NaOH concentration (4, 7, 10%, /) in a 3 × 4 × 5 factorial experimental design. The extraction parameters were optimized for bio-composite application using a desirability function analysis (DFA), which determined that the optimum extraction time, temperature and NaOH concentration were 10 h, 90 °C, and 7%, respectively.

However, the variability of the results has limited the ability to draw solid conclusions. To address this issue, we performed a series of meta-analyses to evaluate how AD of pig, cattle, and dairy manures affects ARG levels and how different parameters, such as temperature, pH, digestion times, and the addition of other substances (e.
