Introduction: Bipolar hemiarthroplasty (BHA) and total hip arthroplasty (THA) are validated treatments for displaced femoral neck fractures (DFNFs). BHA seldomly needs conversion to THA, but the latter has higher dislocation rate in FNFs. Dual Mobility THA offers a reduced dislocation rate and eliminates the risk of conversion.

Objective: Muscle injury tends to heal with incomplete functional recovery. Among the growth factors released in the physio-pathological response of muscle lesion, the Insulin-like Growth-Factor-1 (IGF-1) results in an engine factor of the reparation program. The therapeutic use of growth factors has been exploited to improve healing.

Iatrogenic intraprosthetic dislocation (IPD) is a rare occurrence that can happen during closed reduction of a dislocated dual mobility total hip arthroplasty.
Presentation Of Case: #1 - A 34-year-old male who came to our attention with an undiagnosed IPD.
Full-thickness articular cartilage defects do not heal spontaneously. Several techniques have been developed to address this issue, but none resulted in the restitutio ad integrum of the articular cartilage. The most frequent sites of chondral lesion in the knee are medial femoral condyle and patella.

In the period between August 2014 and May 2016, we conducted a prospective cohort study on a population of 34 young male professional athletes belonging to the same under-17 football club (Ancona 1905). Injuries were recorded according to location, type, mechanism, recurrence, and whether they occurred with or without contact.

Purpose: Distal-third diaphyseal fractures of the humerus are often hard to treat due to location and pattern of the fractures, radial nerve injury, and quality of bone and age of patients. The aim of this retrospective study is to propose the best approach and the best surgical technique according to the pattern of extra-articular fracture of the distal humerus.
Methods: We have treated 37 fractures of the distal humerus between January 2010 and July 2015 classified according to the AO classification.

Skeletal muscle injuries are common causes of severe long-term pain and physical disability, accounting for up to 55% of all sports injuries. The phases of the healing processes after direct or indirect muscle injury are complex but clearly defined and include well-coordinated steps: degeneration, inflammation, regeneration, and fibrosis. Despite this frequent occurrence and the presence of a body of data on the pathophysiology of muscle injuries, none of the current treatment strategies have shown to be really effective in strictly controlled trials.

Objective: Treatment of mild and moderate hallux valgus deformities.
Discussion: Minimally invasive technique enables surgeons to treat mild and moderate hallux valgus deformities with excellent and good results in the majority of patients. Nonunion of first metatarsal, moreover, has only rarely been reported.
We present a 49-year-old man with a traumatic subamputation of the forefoot, associated with lacerated wound in correspondence of the dorsal surface of the right foot, with injuries of tendinous, ligamentous and vascular structures and with the loss of talus head. The patient underwent salvage arthrodesis of the talonavicular and calcanealcuboid joints with graft bone harvested from the iliac crest. The patient was re-evaluated during a clinical and radiographic follow-up.

Even though muscle injuries are very common, few scientific data on their effective treatment exist. Growth Factors (GFs) may have a role in accelerating muscle repair processes and a currently available strategy for their delivery into the lesion site is the use of autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP). The present study is focused on the use of Platelet Rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM), as a source of GFs.
