Objective: To compare the effects of metaraminol and norepinephrine on hemodynamics and kidney injury in the treatment of septic shock, and calculate the conversion dose ratio between the two vasopressors.

Methods: This randomized controlled study was performed on 15 Guizhou miniature pigs. Septic shock was induced by fecal peritonitis in 10 animals, and 5 were used as a sham-operated group (shams).

Psychological capital and alienation among patients with COVID-19 infection: the mediating role of social support.

Background: COVID-19 infection continues all over the world, causing serious physical and psychological impacts to patients. Patients with COVID-19 infection suffer from various negative emotional experiences such as anxiety, depression, mania, and alienation, which seriously affect their normal life and is detrimental to the prognosis. Our study is aimed to investigate the effect of psychological capital on alienation among patients with COVID-19 and the mediating role of social support in this relationship.

Background: The fear of hypoglycemia in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients with hypoglycemia has seriously affected their quality of life. Case Report: An Unusual First Manifestation of a Pheochromocytoma.

We present a 30-year old male presented with hemoptysis as a first manifestation and pulmonary CT scan characteristic of diffuse alveolar hemorrhage. Further abdominal examination discovered a left adrenal mass. Elevated catecholamine and metanephrine levels and subsequent adrenalectomy confirmed the diagnosis of pheochromocytoma.
