Inorganic double perovskites have garnered significant attention due to their desirable characteristics, such as low-toxicity, stability and long charge-carrier lifetimes. However, most double perovskites, especially CsAgBiBr, have wide bandgaps, which limits power conversion efficiencies. In this work, through the first principles method corrected by self-energy, we investigate the mechanical, electric and optical properties of CsB'B''Br (B' = Ag, Au, Cu; B'' = Bi, Al, Sb, In).

Two-dimensional (2D) van der Waals (vdW) heterostructures based on multiferroic materials have potential applications in novel low-dimensional spintronic devices. In this work, we have investigated a strong magnetoelectric coupling and electrical dependence between single layer (1L) CrSiTe and InSe. By switching the direction of ferroelectric polarization in InSe, we observed a significant magneto-crystalline anisotropy energy (MAE) enhancement of CrSiTe.

Graphitic carbon nitride/bismuth ferrite (g-C3N4/BiFeO3) nanocomposites with various g-C3N4 contents have been synthesized by a simple method. After the deposition-precipitation process, the novel BiFeO3 spindle-like nanoparticles with the size of ∼100 nm were homogeneously decorated on the surfaces of the C3N4 nanosheets. A possible deposition growth mechanism is proposed on the basis of experimental results.
