Background: The incidence of small renal mass (SRM) increases, and the prognosis of SRM is poor once metastasized. Therefore, we conducted this study to assess the clinical and pathological characteristics of SRM to determine the risk factors that influence the metastasis and prognosis of SRM.

Methods: A small renal mass is defined as a solid tumor mass with the largest diameter of 4 cm or less on the pathological diagnosis.

Patients And Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 6 patients with rPNETs and IVC tumor thrombus between January 2005 and December 2019, and identified 39 published cases through a literature review. The clinicopathological characteristics, treatments, and survival data were analyzed.

This study evaluated the impact of sarcomatoid differentiation and rhabdoid differentiation on oncological outcomes for RCC with vena caval tumour thrombus treated surgically.
