Effective and precise treatment of breast cancer, particularly with bone metastasis, remains a significant challenge. Here, a dual-gating strategy combining locally delivered borate glass (BG) and ultrasound (US) is developed for the precise and effective inhibition of breast cancer by targeting transient receptor potential vanilloid 2 (TRPV2). The results demonstrate that after local delivery of BG to the solid tumor, US effectively triggers calcium overload by activating the overexpressed TRPV2 channels, leading to mitochondrial autophagy and apoptosis in breast cancer cells, thereby inhibiting tumor growth with high precision.

The governance of multidimensional relative poverty is a key challenge in rural poverty alleviation in the new era, as well as an important practice of the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in China. Based on provincial fiscal and financial data as well as data from the China Family Panel Studies (CFPS), this article employs multilevel linear regression and structural equation modeling to empirically examine the impact and mechanisms of fiscal investment in agriculture on multidimensional relative poverty among farmers. The research results indicate that fiscal investment in agriculture can effectively alleviate multidimensional relative poverty among rural households, and this conclusion still holds after the robustness and endogeneity tests of traditional measurement and Double Machine Learning.

SERINC5 (serine incorporator 5), a member of the serine incorporator family, has been identified as a retrovirus restriction factor that inhibits the fusion of virions with the plasma membrane, thus blocking the release of the viral core into target cells and subsequently attenuating viral infectivity. Several viruses, such as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), murine leukemia virus (MLV), and equine infectious anemia virus (EIAV), have evolved mechanisms to antagonize the host protein SERINC5 through HIV Nef, MLV glycosylated Gag, and the EIAV S2 protein. These viral proteins degrade SERINC5 on the cell surface through the endolysosomal system.

Background: Preeclampsia and preterm birth disproportionally affects Black women, but the current understanding of genetic predisposition to preeclampsia and preterm birth is rudimentary. It has been hypothesized that carriers of high-risk genetic variants in the apolipoprotein L1 gene () may have an increased risk of preeclampsia and preterm birth. These genetic variants are found only among individuals of recent African ancestry.

A spectroradiometer serves as a powerful instrument for measuring the spectral radiance of a target. The spectral radiance calibration function determines the measurement accuracy of the spectroradiometer. However, the general full-field calibration method results in higher spectral radiance values when dealing with targets that only partially fill the field of view (FOV).

Mammalian SWI/SNF (mSWI/SNF) ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complexes play critical roles in regulating gene expression and DNA accessibility, and more than 20 % of cancers have mutations in genes encoding chromatin remodeling complexes. The mSWI/SNF family comprises three distinct classes: canonical BAF (cBAF), PBAF, and non-canonical BAF (ncBAF). While the structures of cBAF and PBAF have been resolved by using cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM), the modular organization and assembly mechanism of ncBAF remain poorly understood.
