Background: Traditional Chinese exercises (TCEs) have played a significant role in treating various diseases. However, there is limited research assessing the efficacy of TCEs in treating Lumbar disc herniation (LDH). This study aimed to systematically evaluate the effects of four commonly used TCEs (Baduanjin, Yijinjing, Taichi, and Wuqinxi) on pain and disability in elderly patients with LDH.

Objective: To explore the safety and effectiveness of Taylor spatial frame (TSF) in the treatment of medial compartmental osteoarthritis (MCOA) of the knee and the adjustment of the lower extremity force line at the same time.

Methods: The clinical data of 30 patients with MCOA who underwent high tibial osteotomy (HTO) between October 2016 and April 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. According to the different fixation methods, they were divided into external fixation group (TSF external fixation, 16 cases) and internal fixation group (locking steel plate internal fixation, 14 cases).

Objective: To compare the effectiveness of Taylor spatial frame (TSF) and unilateral external fixator in the treatment of tibiofibular open fractures.

Methods: Between January 2016 and July 2018, 74 patients with tibiofibular open fracture who met the selection criteria were divided into TSF group (43 cases, fixed with TSF) and unilateral group (31 cases, fixed with unilateral external fixator) according to the principle of entering the group every other day. There was no significant difference in gender, age, affected side, cause of injury, type of fracture between the two groups ( >0.

Rationale: Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a common disease. It has long been believed that the main causes of KOA are knee degenerative diseases, trauma, overwork, and labor habits. However, long-term deformity leads to uneven stress on the surface of the knee joint, and the cause of lower limb force line damage has not been taken seriously.

Objective: To compare short-term treatment effects of internal and external fixation in the treatment of complicated tibial plateau fractures by preoperative planning with 3D printing.

Methods: Sixty-nine patients with tibial plateau fractures were examined. 3D printing was used to establish the model in all patients before the operation.

Objective: The present study was undertaken to validate whether TNF-α and calreticulin (CRT) serve as dual signaling to activate nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain-, leucine-rich repeat- and pyrin domain-containing 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) fibroblast-like synoviocytes (FLS) and HUVECs. The effect of human antigen R (HuR) in NLRP3 inflammasome activation was also explored in RA FLS.

Methods: Immunofluorescence was used to determine the expression of NLRP3 and adaptor protein apoptosis associated speck-like protein containing a CARD (ASC) in RA synovial tissue and HuR location in RA FLS.

Background: This study aimed to evaluate fused images of single-photon emission computed tomography/computed tomography (SPECT/CT), stand-alone whole-body scintigraphy (WBS) and stand-alone CT in the diagnosis of post-traumatic chronic-infected nonunion osteomyelitis (OST) of the lower limb.

Patients And Methods: The imaging data from 144 patients with known/suspected chronic-infected fracture nonunion in the lower limbs following internal/external fixation between June 2015 and December 2017 were reviewed retrospectively. Technetium-99m-methylene diphosphonate SPECT/CT scans were performed on the patients.

Objective: To explore the effectiveness of Taylor spatial frame (TSF) in the treatment of tibiofibular fractures and computer-assisted closed reduction.

Methods: The clinical data of 30 cases of tibiofibular fractures with soft tissue injury treated with TSF between January 2015 and September 2017 was retrospectively analyzed. According to different reduction methods, the patients were divided into control group (15 cases, open reduction in TSF external fixation) and trial group (15 cases, closed reduction in 1-3 days after TSF external fixation).

Objective: To determine the effectiveness and the safety of the Taylor spatial frame in treatment of intermediate or distal tibiofibula fractures.

Methods: The clinical data of 74 patients with intermediate or distal tibiofibular fractures treated between January 2015 and January 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. According to fixation methods, they were divided into internal fixation group (26 cases) and external fixation group (48 cases).

BACKGROUND Bone neoplasms are common in humans and have high lethality. Recently, great progress has been made in understanding the pathophysiological mechanisms, but little is known about the molecular and genetic networks involved. MATERIAL AND METHODS qRT-PCR assays were conducted to detect the expression levels of lncRNA HULC in various cell lines.

Objective: To investigate the effect of axial stress stimulation on tibial and fibular open fractures healing after Taylor space stent fixation.

Methods: The data of 45 cases with tibial and fibular open fractures treated by Taylor space stent fixation who meet the selection criteria between January 2015 and June 2016 were retrospectively analysed. The patients were divided into trial group (23 cases) and control group (22 cases) according to whether the axial stress stimulation was performed after operation.

Objective: To evaluate the effects of dynamization of external fixation on open tibia and fibula fracture union.

Methods: The clinical data of 26 cases of open tibia and fibula fractures treated by external fixation were retrospectively analysed. According to different postoperative treatment methods, the patients were divided into elastic dynamic group (group A, =13) and constant elastic fixation group (group B, =13).

Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been wildly demonstrated to participate in the osteosarcoma tumorigenesis. ZFAS1 is a novel identified lncRNA, however, its role in osteosarcoma is still unclear. In present study, we utilize lncRNA microarray assay to screen the lncRNA expression profile in osteosarcoma tissue, and investigate the regulatory function of ZFAS1 in osteosarcoma.

Objective: To explore the efficacy and safety of the axial load mechanical testing for removing external fixator.

Methods: Between January 2014 and August 2015, 27 patients with tibia and fibula fractures caused by trauma underwent an external fixation. Of 27 patients, 21 were male and 6 were female with the average age of 45 years (range, 19-63 years), including 7 cases of closed fracture and 20 cases of open fracture.

Objective: To compare clinical outcomes between two suturing methods using non absorbable materials through drilling the bone and suturing anchors for the treatment of complete rupture of the deltoid ligament.

Methods: From January 2009 to January 2013, 58 hospitalized patients with ankle fracture combined with complete rupture of the deltoid ligament were treated with suturing using non absorbable materials through drilling the bone or suturing anchors. There were 29 patients who received suturing treatments using non absorbable materials through drilling the bone (Group A), including 18 males and 11 females, with an average age of (39.

Fracture healing is a complex bone formation process, and neovascularization may contribute to new bone regeneration. The circulating endothelial progenitor cell (EPC) mobilization and homing could involve in neovascularization and vasculogenesis. In this study, we investigate the changes of circulating EPC during bone fracture healing, and the possible contribution of EPCs to increased neovascularization and fracture healing.
