This study investigates the influence of CYP3A4 gene polymorphisms on postoperative pain sensitivity and analgesic response in lung cancer patients undergoing intercostal nerve block with local anesthetics. Sixty patients (ages 31-74) undergoing thoracoscopic lung cancer surgery were enrolled and divided into two groups based on CYP3A4 gene expression level: Group I (high CYP3A4) and Group II (low CYP3A4). Postoperative pain was assessed using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), and patient-controlled intravenous analgesia (PCIA) pump usage, ECG ST-T segment changes, complications, hospital stay, and costs were recorded.

The development of highly active and stable electrode materials for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is essential for the widespread application of electrochemical energy conversion systems. In recent years, various metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with self-supporting array structures have been extensively studied because of their high porosity, abundant metal sites, and flexible and adjustable structures. This review provides an overview of the recent progress in the design, preparation, and applications of MOF-based nanoarrays for the OER, beginning with the introduction of the architectural advantages of the nanoarrays and the characteristics of MOFs.

Those with poor psychological status could perceive risks sensitively as fears or threats that are discouraging. This article aimed to determine whether psychological outcomes, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, and insomnia, following the COVID-19 pandemic were differentially related to the risk perceptions of nurses working in clinics and increased perceived risk.

Objective: To explore the risk factors for intrapartum fever and to develop a nomogram to predict the incidence of intrapartum fever.
Methods: The general demographic characteristics and perinatal factors of 696 parturients who underwent vaginal birth at the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University from May 2019 to April 2020 were retrospectively analysed. Data was collected from May 2019 to October 2019 on 487 pregnant women who formed a training cohort.
One year after the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak, China has made substantial progress in the prevention and control of the pandemic, while the epidemic situation remains grim in China since virus may easily survive with the falling temperature in winter. The present study aimed to compare the prevalence and associated factors of anxiety between high-risk and low-risk nurses 1 year after the COVID-19 outbreak, and examine the association between resilience and anxiety and its underlying mechanisms. Connor-Davidson Resilience scale, Perceived Social Support Scale and Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale were administrated to 701 nurses from Jiangsu Province, China, 1 year after the COVID-19 outbreak.

A novel ligand-stabilized Ag12 nanocluster was synthesized as a model cluster to investigate the solvent-induced isomerization of Ag12 clusters. Another two novel Ag12 clusters as well as their related symmetry transformations were also successfully obtained through the above solvent-induced isomerization process.

In this work, we prepared a series of Fe-doped MoS nanomaterials by simple one-pot solvothermal reactions of (NH)MoS with FeCl·6HO. An optimized working electrode of Fe-MoS-5 displayed high hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) activity with a relatively small overpotential of 173 mV to achieve a current density of 10 mA cm in 0.

In this work, we report hierarchically structured integrated Fe-MoS/NiS/NF (NF = nickel foam) materials prepared by a facile in situ solvothermal method, and among them, the Fe-doped MoS was assembled into spine-like nanorods. The optimized electrocatalyst (denoted as Fe-MoS/NiS/NF-2) demonstrated excellent activity and durability for performing the HER and OER in an alkaline electrolyte (pH = 14) with low overpotentials of 130.

Kinetic step-growth polymerization is studied by dissipative particle dynamics coupled with our previously developed reaction algorithm on a coarse-grained level. The simulation result proves that this step-growth polymerization obeys the second-order reaction kinetics. We apply this algorithm to study the step-growth polymerization using the subunits with different flexibilities or within confinement.

Activation of hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) is the pivotal event during liver fibrogenesis.
