The quality of corporate environmental information disclosure is concerned by all sectors of society. Using data on Chinese listed A-share companies in heavy polluting industries from 2015 to 2022, this study examines whether the "quantity" and "quality" dimensions of corporate environmental information disclosure have peer effects in the same region. Further, it compares the mechanism and economic consequences of the "real green" and "fake green" behaviors.

Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates the relationship between risk stratification, total occlusion (TO) of the culprit artery, and multivessel disease (MVD) in patients suffering from non-ST-segment-elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI).
  • Researchers analyzed data from 835 NSTEMI patients who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) between January 2016 and August 2022, focusing on predictors of TO and MVD.
  • Results showed that TO was more common in the left circumflex artery and was linked to a higher likelihood of MVD, with variables like regional wall motion abnormalities, age, hypertension, and diabetes identified as significant predictors.

Recognizing the pivotal role of tourists as ambassadors for their hometown is imperative, as it relates to the dynamic host-guest relationship, thereby significantly influencing the sustainable tourism progress in both their originating locations and the visited destinations. The leaf is not only the main site of photosynthesis, but also an important organ reflecting plant salt tolerance. Discovery of salt-stress-responding genes in the leaf is of great significance for the molecular improvement of salt tolerance in wheat varieties. In this study, transcriptome sequencing was conducted on the leaves of salt-tolerant wheat germplasm CH7034 seedlings at 0, 1, 6, 24, and 48 h after NaCl treatment.

Due to the doping of considerable noise and impact components in vibration signals of quay crane gearboxes, some traditional methods have difficulty uncovering degradation patterns. To accurately extract degradation features from vibration monitoring signals, a degradation feature extraction technique based on static divided symbol sequence entropy is proposed. Based on the basic scale entropy technique, considering the uniformity of the symbolization standard, the technique takes the root mean square of the health condition signal as the basis and incorporates the scale coefficient to establish a uniform basic scale.

Based on the senior certified public accountants selected by the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants and data drawn from China's A-share listed companies from 2014 to 2019, this study studies the influence mechanism of signing auditors' personal reputational promotion on corporate financing constraints. The results show that the improved reputation of signing auditors will help ease the financing constraints faced by companies. Moreover, compared with that of signing auditors from Big Four accounting firms, the improved reputation of signing auditors from non-Big Four firms has a more significant effect on alleviating the financing constraints of enterprises.

Objective: To investigate whether ABO blood groups is associated with the severity of coronary artery disease (CAD).

Methods: Between January 2015 and December 2017, 1425 first diagnosed CAD patients confirmed by selective coronary angiography were recruited into this cross-sectional study, and their baseline characteristics, ABO blood groups, Gensini score were collected. Multiple linear regression analysis was performed to test the association between the severity of CAD and ABO blood groups.

Background/aims: B and T lymphocyte attenuator (BTLA) is an immune inhibitory receptor involved in the pathogenesis of chronic viral infections. Little is known about the effects of BTLA gene polymorphisms on chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infections. In this study, we investigated whether the polymorphisms of BTLA are associated with the progression of chronic HBV infection.

Background: CD40 is an important costimulatory molecule in both cellular and humoral immune responses, involved in the pathogenic processes of chronic inflammatory diseases. Few studies were performed on the association of CD40 single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) with chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. In this study, we studied whether the CD40-1C/T polymorphism had any effect on the progression of chronic HBV infection in Chinese population.
