The on-demand delivery and release of chemotherapeutic drugs have attracted great attention, among which photoresponsive prodrug systems have shown specific advantages for effective cancer treatment due to their spatiotemporal control, non-invasive nature and easy operation. Unlike the traditional strategy of physical encapsulation of drugs in liposomes, we herein report a biomimetic and photoresponsive drug delivery system (DDS) based on a lipid prodrug liposomal formulation (LNC), which combines the features of the prodrug and nanomedicines, and can realize photocontrollable release of anticancer drugs. The lipid prodrug comprises three functional moieties: a single-arm phospholipid (Lyso PC), an -nitrobenzyl alcohol (NB) and chlorambucil (CBL).

Quorum sensing (QS) signals widely exist in bacteria to control biological functions in response to populations of cells. Burkholderia cenocepacia, an important opportunistic pathogen in patients with cystic fibrosis (CF), is commonly found in the environment and mostly utilizes the N-acylhomoserine lactone (AHL) and cis-2-dodecenoic acid (BDSF) QS systems to control biological functions. Our previous study illuminated the detailed mechanism by which B.

The study of neuroimmune crosstalk and the involvement of neurotransmitters in inflammation and bone health has illustrated their significance in joint-related conditions. One important mode of cell-to-cell communication in the synovial fluid (SF) is through extracellular vesicles (EVs) carrying microRNAs (miRNAs). The role of neurotransmitter receptors in the pathogenesis of inflammatory joint diseases, and whether there are specific miRNAs regulating differentially expressed HTR2A, contributing to the inflammatory processes and bone metabolism is unclear.

Background: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) remains the most challenging subtype of breast cancer and lacks definite treatment targets. Aerobic glycolysis is a hallmark of metabolic reprogramming that contributes to cancer progression. PFKP is a rate-limiting enzyme involved in aerobic glycolysis, which is overexpressed in various types of cancers.

Ilex cornuta (Aquifoliaceae) is a dark green evergreen shrub with glossy leaves that is widely distributed in China and East Asia and used as an ornamental and medicinal plant. In March 2022, typical symptoms of anthracnose were observed on I. cornuta leaves (with approximately 30% of leaves affected) in Jiangxi Academy of Forestry, Nanchang city, Jiangxi Province, China.

To solve the problems of path planning and dynamic obstacle avoidance for an unmanned surface vehicle (USV) in a locally observable non-dynamic ocean environment, a visual perception and decision-making method based on deep reinforcement learning is proposed. This method replaces the full connection layer in the Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO) neural network structure with a convolutional neural network (CNN). In this way, the degree of memorization and forgetting of sample information is controlled.

Indian jujube (Ziziphus mauritiana Lamarck), is one of the most popular fruit crops in South China. In March 2023, a fruit rot of indian jujube with about 5% disease incidence was observed in two supermarkets of Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, China. Initially, the symptoms appeared as slightly brown spots on the fruit surface, with disease progression, the lesions gradually expanded and covered with a layer of hyphae.

In the distributed information fusion of wireless sensor networks (WSNs), the filtering accuracy is commonly negatively correlated with energy consumption. Therefore, a class of distributed consensus Kalman filters was designed to balance the contradiction between them in this paper. Firstly, an event-triggered schedule was designed based on historical data within a timeliness window.

Discoid lateral meniscus (DLM) is the most common congenital variant of the lateral meniscus, which is prone to degeneration and lesions, and often leads to knee osteoarthritis. At present, there is no consensus on the clinical practice of DLM, and this expert consensus and practice guidelines on DLM was developed and approved by Chinese Society of Sports Medicine according to the Delphi method. Among 32 statements drafted, 14 statements were excluded for redundant information, and 18 statements achieved consensus.

Introduction: Suture passer needle, as one of commonly used instrument in the arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, often breaks at the notch of the needle, which originally was designed to facilitate suture with thread. Our study aimed to evaluate the suture failure rate and stitch success rate between intact suture needle and broken needle and explore the mechanism of the needle breakage and achieving better future designs.

Materials And Methods: From 2017 to 2021, consecutive 437 shoulders (11 cases were bilateral) underwent arthroscopic repair for full-thickness rotator cuff tear at the authors' institution.

Background: The lateral meniscus is a unique structure of the knee joint, and its anatomy, function, pathological process, and treatment are distinct from those of the medial meniscus. To date, no consensus on the management of lateral meniscal lesions has been published, and clinical decision-making is challenging. To facilitate this, consensus and practice guidelines for lateral meniscal lesions were developed and endorsed by the Chinese Society of Sports Medicine.

Information fusion integrates aspects of data and knowledge mostly on the basis that system information is accumulative/distributive, but a subtle case emerges for a system with bifurcations, which is always un-linearizable and exacerbates information acquisition and presents a control problem. In this paper, the problem of an un-linearizable system related to system observation and control is addressed, and Andronov-Hopf bifurcation is taken as a typical example of an un-linearizable system and detailed. Firstly, the properties of a linear/linearized system is upon commented.

Global transcriptional regulator downstream RpfR (GtrR) is a key downstream regulator for quorum-sensing signaling molecule cis-2-dodecenoic acid (BDSF). As a bacterial enhancer-binding protein (bEBP), GtrR is composed of an N-terminal receiver domain, a central ATPases associated with diverse cellular activities (AAA+) ATPase σ -interaction domain, and a C-terminal helix-turn-helix DNA-binding domain. In this work, we solved its AAA+ ATPase domain in both apo and GTP-bound forms.

The limited three-dimensional (3D) nano-scale pore structure and lack of biological function hamper the application of bacterial cellulose (BC) in cartilage tissue engineering. To address this challenge, 3D hierarchical porous BC/decellularized cartilage extracellular matrix (DCECM) scaffolds with structurally and biochemically biomimetic cartilage regeneration microenvironment were fabricated by freeze-drying technique after EDC/NHS chemical crosslinking. The BC/DCECM scaffolds exhibited excellent mechanical properties, water superabsorbency and shape-memory properties.
