Phytoextraction based on hyperaccumulators is a sustainable bioremediation technology. However, hyperaccumulators can only accumulate a single type of pollutants and need long remediation times, inhibiting simultaneous phytoextraction of co-occurring inorganic and organic pollutants. Here, the study indicated that the environmental level of lanthanum, as an emerging pollutant, was absorbed by leaves and induced endocytosis from leaves to roots (systemic endocytosis) in Sedum alfredii.

MNPs are ubiquitous in the environment and inevitably interact with terrestrial plants. Terrestrial plants have become important potential sinks, and subsequently, the sources of MNPs.

Spraying leaves with REEs can enhance the endocytosis of plant roots. The non-selectivity of endocytosis is conducive to the direct absorption of environmental pollutants.

Methods: This multicenter study (26 centers, 2425 cases) was performed in a Chinese population to examine the sociodemographic and clinical characteristics of schizophrenia patients with a family history of psychotic disorders in comparison with those of patients with sporadic schizophrenia.
In this Article, we investigate the effect of a precursor layer, which is composed of four bilayers of polyethyleneimine (PEI) and poly(sodium styrene sulfonate) (PSS), on the subsequent LBL assembly of hybrid films composed of indium tin oxide (ITO) nanoparticles and PSS. A precursor polyelectrolyte layer is usually deposited to minimize interference by the substrate. It is shown here that the "effective" surface charge of the precursor layer can significantly affect the subsequent assembly behavior of [ITO/PSS](9.

The dopamine D3 receptor has been implicated in the pathophysiology of schizophrenia (SZ). A glycine-to-serine polymorphism at codon 9 of the dopamine D3 receptor gene (DRD3), rs6280, has been widely studied for its association with SZ, but with conflicting results. Altered levels of DRD3 mRNA have also been reported in SZ compared with normal controls.
