Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to compare the accuracy of three methods for measuring lower limb lengths in elderly patients undergoing hip arthroplasty due to femoral neck fractures, while introducing a new anatomical marking method called "shoulder to shoulder."
  • Conducted from January 2017 to January 2019, the research involved 90 elderly patients who were divided into three groups based on the measurement methods: contralateral contrast, shuck test, and the new marking method.
  • Results showed that the "shoulder to shoulder" method (Group C) provided the most accurate measurements of lower limb length after surgery compared to the other two methods, with significant statistical differences noted in the findings.
