Article Synopsis
  • Oxygen reduction and evolution reactions are important for creating energy from electricity in things like batteries.
  • Scientists developed a special iron-based catalyst called Fe/NCP, which is made with nitrogen and has extra features to help it work better and last longer.
  • This catalyst shows amazing performance in zinc-air batteries, making it easier and more efficient to produce green energy.

Continuous dopaminergic stimulation (CDS) has become an important strategy for the development of drugs to treat Parkinson's disease (PD). Rotigotine behenate extended-release microspheres (RBEM) for injection represents a new treatment regime for CDS and is being applied for clinical trial. Our study in cynomolgus monkeys was a 20-week repeat dose toxicity investigation with RBEM at dosages of 90, 180, 360, with a 12-week recovery period.

The solvent-free selective hydrogenation of nitroaromatics to azoxy compounds is highly important, yet challenging. Herein, we report an efficient strategy to construct individually dispersed Co atoms decorated on niobium pentaoxide nanomeshes with unique geometric and electronic properties. The use of this supported Co single atom catalysts in the selective hydrogenation of nitrobenzene to azoxybenzene results in high catalytic activity and selectivity, with 99% selectivity and 99% conversion within 0.

Article Synopsis
  • * A series of tests showed that RBEM does not cause genotoxicity (DNA damage) in various cell types.
  • * However, RBEM demonstrated toxicity effects on fertility and early embryonic development in female rats when administered at certain doses.
