Acute kidney injury (AKI) can progress to chronic kidney disease (CKD) and subsequently to renal fibrosis. Poor repair of renal tubular epithelial cells (TECs) after injury is the main cause of renal fibrosis. Studies have shown that restoring damaged fatty acid β-oxidation (FAO) can reduce renal fibrosis.

The aim of the present study is to identify novel promising marks and targets of diagnosis, therapy and prognosis for patients with vestibular schwannoma at the molecular level. The gene expression profiles of GSE54934, GSE39645 and GSE56597 datasets were obtained respectively from the Gene Expression Omnibus database. The differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified by comparing between gene expression profiles of the vestibular schwannoma tissues and normal tissues.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study investigated the effects of three drugs (T5224, RSPO2, and AZD5363) on functioning pituitary adenoma (FPA) by analyzing gene expression profiles from multiple datasets to identify differentially expressed genes.
  • - Through laboratory experiments, the drugs were shown to significantly reduce cell viability and clonogenicity in FPA cells, with an increase in apoptosis as drug dosage increased.
  • - Key genes (cFos, WNT5A, NCAM1, JUP, AKT3, and ADCY1) were found to be abnormally expressed in FPA cells, indicating their potential as targets for future therapeutic strategies.
