Introduction: Shugan Jieyu Capsule (SGJYC) has been prescribed to treat primary and secondary depression; however, whether it can benefit depression of patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) remains controversial. This meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of SGJYC in treating depression in patients with CHD.

Patient Concerns: A total of 644 CHD patients with depression were selected from China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang, China Biomedical Database, MEDLINE, the Cochrane library from their inceptions until June, 2021.

Biodegradable graft copolymer, chitosan-graft-poly(ɛ-caprolactone) (CS-g-PCL) was synthesized via ring opening polymerization and characterized by (1)H NMR and FTIR spectroscopy. The principal limitations of chemotherapy are dose-limiting systemic toxicity and the development of multidrug-resistant phenotypes. The aim of this study was to investigate the efficiency of a new sustained drug delivery system based on chitosan and ε-caprolactone to overcome multidrug resistance in monolayer and drug resistance associated with the three-dimensional (3D) tumor microenvironment in our established 3D models. The 5-fluorouracil (5-FU)-loaded nanoparticles (NPs) were characterized by transmission electron microscope and dynamic light scattering, and its released property was determined at different pH values.

Block copolymers of Methoxy poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(epsilon-caprolactone) bearing ketone groups (MPEG-b-P(CL-co-OPD)) are synthesized and evaluated for its potential to form micelles containing doxorubicin (DOX), a representative anticancer drug, by using an in vitro method based on membrane dialysis to emulate drug release in vivo. The (1)H NMR spectra of the prepared block copolymers in D(2)O solution exhibit peaks due to the P(OPD-co-CL) in decreased intensity, indicates that the polymers form micelle particles containing the hydrophilic segments in their external parts. The CMC of the copolymer decrease with an increase in the content of ketone groups in the hydrophobic chain.

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of shensong yangxin capsule (SYC) on ventricular premature beat (VPB) differentiated in TCM as palpitation of Qi-yin deficiency syndrome or Xin collateral stagnation syndrome, and cardiovascular autonomic nervous function in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD).

Methods: The randomized, double-blind, parallel contrast method was adopted, patients were randomly assigned by 3:1 ratio into two groups. One hundred and sixty-five patients in SYC treated group and 56 in the control group (treated with Xinlvning tablet), and the therapeutic course for both groups was 4 weeks.
