The current research investigated the influencing factors of the full mastery of L2 (English) polysemous words with a Chinese-English translation test. The concepts of "meaning" and "L2 equivalent" were strictly distinguished when designing the test. The manipulation of variables came to a mixed design of 2 (semantic types: core meaning, periphery meaning) × 2 (types of L1 translation equivalents: dominant L1 translation equivalent, non-dominant L1 translation equivalent) × 2 (language proficiency: low proficiency, high proficiency).

Hollow hetero-nanosheet arrays have attracted great attention due to their efficient catalytic abilities for water splitting. We successfully fabricated ZIF-67-derived hollow CoMoS/MoS nanosheet arrays on carbon cloth through a two-step heating-up hydrothermal method, in which the MoS nanosheets were suitably distributed on the surface of the hollow CoMoS nanosheet arrays. There was a distinct synergistic effect between CoMoS and MoS, and a large number of defective and disordered interfaces were formed, which improved the charge transfer rate and provided abundant electrochemical active sites.

Objectives: polysaccharide (ASP) is a traditional herbal medicine accompanied by antitumor potential. This study aims to explore the therapeutic potential of ASP on glioma, as well as the underlying mechanisms involving microRNA-373-3p (miR-373-3p) and the TGF-/Smad4 signaling pathway.

Methods: U251 cells (a human glioma cell line) were treated with different concentrations of ASP.

This study aimed to analyze the application of ultrasound images of lung recruitment (LR) nursing treatment guided by positive-end expiratory pressure (PEEP) in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). An ultrasound image enhancement algorithm (UIEA) wavelet transform (WT) was constructed, and the soft threshold (ST) and adjacent region average (ARA) were introduced for simulation comparison. In addition, the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), and running time were undertaken as the evaluation indexes.
