lncRNA AGAP11 Suppresses Lung Adenocarcinoma Progression by miR-494-3p and Predicts Prognosis.

Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is a subtype of lung cancer that occurs frequently and results in high mortality and morbidity, comprising almost 50% of all cases with the disease. Previously, long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) was evidenced to be helpful in the diagnosis and prognosis of LUAD. lncRNA AGAP11 was identified as a dysregulated lncRNA in LUAD.

Discriminative and prognostic significance of LINC00623 for lung adenocarcinoma.

This study was conducted to evaluate the diagnostic and prognostic values of LINC00623 in patients with lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), as well as the promoting role in LUAD progression. LINC00623 levels were identified by RT-qPCR. Using ROC curve analysis, the discrimination value of LINC00623 for LUAD from lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC) and the health was assessed.

Clinicopathological analysis of two cases with pelvis villous adenoma and review of relevant literature.

Villous adenoma is a rare primary tumor of the urinary system, especially the bladder and kidneys. This study presents two cases of right pelvis villous adenoma, including that of a 61-year-old patient who had experienced hematuria for more than 1 year and was diagnosed with bladder and ureteral stones via B-ultrasound examination, and the other one involving a 65-year-old patient who was hospitalized for 6 days due to a right upper quadrant mass and diagnosed with right renal pelvis stones and hydrops via B-ultrasound examination. Both patients underwent nephrectomy, and their histological analysis demonstrated papillary projections covered by columnar cells and goblet cells.

Expression and significance of FOXP1, HIF-1a and VEGF in renal clear cell carcinoma.

Purpose: To investigate the expressions of FOXP1, hypoxia inducible factor (HIF)-1a and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in renal cell carcinoma of the clear type (CCRCC) and their relationship with the patient clinicopathological features.

Methods: The expressions of forkhead box-P1 (FOXP1), HIF-1a and VEGF in 55 cases of CCRCC tissues were determined using immunohistochemistry. Then, their correlations with clinical stage, histological grade and lymph node metastasis were analyzed using chi-square test.
