The development of high-performance Sn-based perovskite photodetectors is presented with double-sided passivation using large alkylammonium interlayers of PEAI and BDAI₂. This dual passivation strategy, applied to the top and bottom of FASnI₃ films, effectively improves film quality by reducing defect density, enhancing carrier mobility, and minimizing non-radiative energy losses at the interfaces. At 720 nm, the photodetectors demonstrate a responsivity of 0.

The affected cardiac tissue may lose its function permanently. In contrast, zebrafish display a remarkable capacity for scar-free heart regeneration.

Thallium-201 myocardial perfusion scan (MPS) is a precise and non-invasive method to detect coronary artery disease (CAD).

Magnolol extract, derived from the bark of Magnolia officinalis, has traditionally been used in Asia to treat sleeping disorders and anxiety, and as an anti-inflammatory agent. Several reports have indicated that magnolol may have the potential to inhibit the progression of hepatocellular carcinoma and glioblastoma.

Objective: A clinical 12-lead ECG pre-processing method with a parallel convolutional neural network (CNN) model for 12-lead ECG automatic AF recognition is introduced.
Methods: Raw AF diagnosis data from a 12-lead ECG device were collected and analyzed by two cardiologists to differentiate between true- and false-positives.
Background/aim: Osteosarcoma is an aggressive primary malignant bone tumor that occurs in childhood. Although the diagnostic and treatment options have been improved, osteosarcoma confers poor prognosis. Magnolol, an active component of Magnoliae officinalis cortex, has been widely applied in herb medicine and has been shown to have multiple pharmacological activities.

Currently, boronophenylalanine (BPA) is the most common boron delivery agent used in BNCT for treating recurrent cancers of the head and neck, gliomas, and melanomas. On the other hand, valproic acid (VPA) is one of the representative class I histone deacetylase inhibitors (HDACi), which is a promising sensitizer for cancer therapies.

The perovskite materials are well-known for their excellent optoelectronic properties, but the lead element inside could be a hindrance to future development. This research is trying to predict the promising cation candidates in the high-temperature application for lead-free perovskite materials from the replacement of lead in MAPbCl (MA = methylammonium) with alkaline-earth cations.

For diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, the implementation of panendoscopy (PES) with biopsy is necessary.

However, the common clinical treatments provide limited relief and are accompanied by adverse effects. Therefore, there is a need to develop novel and effective therapies to treat AD.

However, the clinicopathological roles of IGF2BP1 in colorectal cancer (CRC) remains limited. Thus, we aimed to elucidate the clinical significance and biomarker potentials of IGF2BP1 in CRC.

Many studies have indicated that computing technology can enable off-site cardiologists to read patients' electrocardiograph (ECG), echocardiography (ECHO), and relevant images via smart phones during pre-hospital, in-hospital, and post-hospital teleconsultation, which not only identifies emergency cases in need of immediate treatment, but also prevents the unnecessary re-hospitalizations. Meanwhile, several studies have combined cloud computing and mobile computing to facilitate better storage, delivery, retrieval, and management of medical files for telecardiology. In the future, the aggregated ECG and images from hospitals worldwide will become big data, which should be used to develop an e-consultation program helping on-site practitioners deliver appropriate treatment.

Zebrafish have the extraordinary ability to regenerate their heart after a severe injury. Upon ventricle resection, fibrin clots seal the wound and serve as a matrix for recruiting myeloid-derived phagocytes.

The emergency medical technician cell phone receives Extensible Markup Language files generated by a Phillips Extensible Markup Language ECG instrument via Wi-Fi-based wireless network and then sends them to an ECG-processing server at the hospital over the mobile telephone network. After reducing ECG noises and artifacts, the server converts files to Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine-based ECG reports stored in Picture Archiving and Communication System.

However, more and more studies require assays to be done on adults. Consequently, a good anesthetic is needed to sedate and immobilize the adult zebrafish during experimental manipulation.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAngiogenesis is a highly organized process controlled by a series of molecular events. While much effort has been devoted to identifying angiogenic factors and their reciprocal receptors, far less information is available on the molecular mechanisms underlying directed endothelial cell migration. To search for novel proteins that participate in this process, we used the serial analysis of gene expression (SAGE) transcript profiling approach to identify genes that are selectively expressed in endothelial cells (ECs).

This study presents an e-technology to realize a mobile 12-lead electrocardiography (ECG) information system capable of providing clinicians with ubiquitous 12-lead ECG diagnoses. Until now, there has been limited information on mobile systems that can exchange information with clinically used 12-lead ECG for emergency telemedicine. The development of mobilized 12-lead ECG diagnoses in clinical practice is impeded by the heterogeneous 12-lead ECG file formats and compressed ECG waveform data.

Traditional electrocardiographic criteria for diagnosing inferior myocardial infarction emphasize abnormalities of the initial large Q wave or ST segment elevation in leads II, III, and aVF. We report a case that has acute R-wave loss in inferior leads as an initial manifestation of acute inferior wall myocardial infarction.
