Objective: To analyze the effects of personal income on the relationship between intergenerational support (IS) and cognitive functioning.

Methods: Data were obtained from four waves of nationally representative surveys of the 2011-2018 China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS), involving 8,207 participants aged 45 ∼ 60 at baseline. Multivariate linear regression models using generalized estimating equations were used to analyze the effects of three forms of intergenerational mutual supports on cognitive functioning in middle-aged adults, and subgroup regressions were used to analyze the moderating role of personal income in this relationship.

Due to the disorderly access to medical care and inefficient use of health resources, the advancement of the hierarchical diagnosis and treatment is more valued in promoting health system reform. Hence, this article integrates prospect theory into an evolutionary game model of the local government health departments, the medical institutions, and the patients in the system promotion of the hierarchical diagnosis and treatment. The simulation shows the specific influencing mechanism of the psychological perceived value of game subjects.

Analyzing the relationship between individual relative deprivation and rural residents' health inequality is a deepening of the research on the social impact of individual relative deprivation. On the theoretical basis of the absolute and relative income hypothesis, using the data of China Family Panel Studies in 2018, taking other residents in the village as the reference group, this paper selects the relative income deprivation and absolute income to comprehensively quantify the generalized impact of farmers' income gap, introduces the psychological capital guidance mechanism, and constructs a moderated-mediation model for the impact of relative deprivation on the health inequality of rural residents in China from the three dimensions of self-assessment of health, mental health and physical health. The estimation results of the multi-layer model show that the relative income deprivation of rural residents has a significant impact on health inequality, among which the impact of mental health is the strongest.

Government health expenditure plays an important role in guaranteeing people's livelihood and in improving the quality of human capital, and it also plays an important role in affecting economic development. In order to characterize the specific trend of government health spending affecting economic growth, and analyze the impact difference in different regions, this paper uses a non-parametric additive model to analyze the impact of government health expenditure on economic development and regional development differences based on three aspects: linear, non-linear and comprehensive effects. From the perspective of linear effects, the results show that the proportion of government health expenditure to GDP nationwide and in the western regions has a positive impact on economic development, while the impact in the eastern and central regions is negative.

The degree of coupling and coordination between the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and the medical service industry crucially requires improvement by promoting the development of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry through industrial structure upgrading to narrow the gap between them. First, this article uses the coupling coordination degree model to measure the coupling coordination degree of the Chinese pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and medical service industry; then, it theoretically analyzes the mechanism through which upgrading the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry's industrial structure can improve the coupling coordination degree. Finally, we empirically test the impact of upgrading the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry's industrial structure on the coupling and coordination degree between it and the medical service industry.

Macro-economic development of China's health industry is essential to the sustainable development and growth momentum of the national economy. Strategies to promote the development and rebalancing of the industrial structure need to be improved in order to transform China's health industry and drive development. Based on panel data of 25 regions in China from 2004 to 2016, this paper analyzes the linear and non-linear relationship between Chinese government health expenditure (GHE), GHE efficiency, and the macro-economic development of the health industry.
