Background: Psychological burdens can affect the quality of life among parents of children with epilepsy, especially parents of children with poor seizure control. The impact of stress on the parents of children with epilepsy is significantly comorbid with their children's cognitive dysfunction and the severity of epilepsy. The aim of this study was to assess the stress levels of parents of school-age children with drug-resistant epilepsy (DRE) and controlled-epilepsy after considering the children's cognitive ability.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of febuxostat introduction and the modifications in its insurance coverage on the utilization and expenditure of urate-lowering therapy (ULT).

Objective: The majority of inpatient falls are older people who have various medical conditions and are on several medications. The purpose of this study was to examine the association between medical conditions and medications and falls in older people in hospital.

Method: Using a case-control design, we selected older people (aged 65 or over) who were reported to the Taiwan Patient-Safety Reporting System for the fall incidents in a large academic hospital in 2006 (n = 165).
