Transarterial embolization (TAE) is an image-guided, minimally invasive procedure for treating various clinical conditions by delivering embolic agents to occlude diseased arteries. Conventional embolic agents focus on vessel occlusion but can cause unintended long-term inflammation and ischemia in healthy tissues. Next-generation embolic agents must exhibit biocompatibility, biodegradability, and effective drug delivery, yet some degradable microspheres degrade too quickly, leading to the potential migration of fragments into distal blood vessels causing off-target embolization.

This family encodes plant-specific transcription factors that play critical roles in regulating plant growth, development, and stress responses. However, their interaction network, as well as resistant functional mechanism in is rarely reported.

In this study, a three-dimensional conjugated microporous polymer, which was designated as TPM-CMP, was synthesized via Friedel-Crafts reaction by using tetraphenylmethane (TPM) and biphenyl dichlorobenzene as monomers, and it was utilized as an adsorbent in solid-phase extraction (SPE) of sulfonamides. The TPM-CMP demonstrated high extraction efficiency for sulfonamides due to π-stacking interactions, hydrophobic forces, and pore-filling effects.

In this study, we constructed a multimodal multitask hybrid brain-computer interface net (2M-hBCINet) based on deep features of electroencephalogram (EEG) and electromyography (EMG) to effectively accomplish motor imagery classification tasks.
Methods: The model first used a variational autoencoder (VAE) network for unsupervised learning of EEG and EMG signals to extract their deep features, and subsequently applied the channel attention mechanism (CAM) to select these deep features and highlight the advantageous features and minimize the disadvantageous ones.

Increasing evidence suggests a role for the limbic network (LN) and the triple network model in the pathophysiology of bipolar disorder (BD). However, the specific relationship between the LN and the triple network in PBD remains unclear.

The extraction efficiency of single-, double-, triple-, and quadruple-shelled NSiC-Homs-NS coated fibers for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were investigated, respectively. The NSiC-Homs-NS based SPME fiber coupled with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry was applied to detect 19 PAHs in milk samples.

In this work, the chitosan/zinc ion/polyoxometalate (CS/Zn/POM) multifunctional films were prepared by the freeze-drying method using chitosan, ZnO, and POM. Notably, the CS/Zn/POM films exhibited excellent bactericidal properties against Gram-positive/negative bacterial strains including (, 99.

The experimental results showed that rinsing yield, water holding capacity (WHC), gel strength, and textural properties were effectively improved with AWE for 1 and 3 min. The rheological properties indicated a highly elastic gel with a dense and compact microstructure after soaking in AWE for 1 and 3 min, indicating that short-term alkaline immersion enhances cross-linking between myofibrillar proteins.

Despite research, there's a knowledge gap on using high-resolution spatial omics to understand CRC's tumor microenvironment dynamics.
Methods: We used single-cell transcriptomics to study major biological changes and cell interactions in CRC progression.
Harmonics and three-phase imbalance are two common disturbances in power systems that interact with and affect each other, leading to more complex impacts on power system performance. To comprehensively and accurately analyze the distribution and interaction mechanisms of harmonics and three-phase imbalance, this study investigated the joint emission level of harmonic and three-phase unbalanced disturbance sources (H-TU-DS). This paper proposes a joint probabilistic emission level modeling approach.

The necessity for the development of effective adsorbents to capture endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) from environmental and food samples arises from the potential health hazards that the EDCs may impose on human beings. Hence, a novel sulfonic group based hyper cross-linked polymer (HQSA-PLE-HCP) was synthesized and explored in solid phase extraction for the enrichment of some EDCs. The HQSA-PLE-HCP demonstrated an excellent adsorption capability for some EDCs (bisphenol F, bisphenol A, bishydroxyphenylbutane and p-tert-butylphenol).

CRISPR/Cas13a with precise and controllable programming of endonuclease activity has been served as powerful tool for RNA sensing. Although with high sensitivity, existing CRISPR/Cas13a-based biosensors need complex amplification procedure or special equipment that limited quantification capability. Here, Mn-doped NiCoO (Mn/NiCoO) nanozyme with enhanced peroxidase activity was synthesized and combined with CRISPR/Cas13a-based reaction to develop a simple, sensitive and universal biosensor for RNA detection, which is achieved through target recognition that activates Cas enzymes to cleave RNA reporter for inhibiting Mn/NiCoO nanozyme to assemble on microplate.

Due to limited editing efficiency, even with the use of highly precise editing tools, such as prime editing (PE), simultaneous editing of multiple mutation types poses a challenge. Here, we replaced Cas9 nickase (nCas9) with Cas9 to construct a Cas9-mediated PE (Cas9-PE) system in rice.
