Objective: To investigate the effect of podophyllotoxin on human gastric cancer cell line SGC 7901 cells in vitro and in vivo, and to provide evidence for treatment of gastric cancer with podophyllotoxin.

Methods: SGC 7901 cells were treated with podophyllotoxin at various concentrations for different time. MTT assay, colony formation assay, and flow cytometry were performed to determine the effect of podophyllotoxin on the growth and apoptosis of SGC 7901 cells in vitro.

The performance of adsorption of tea polyphenol and caffine with polyamide resin was investigated. The results obtained by spectrophotometry and HPLC show that the ability of adsorption of tea polyphenol with polyamide is stronger than that of caffine, in which hydrogen bond plays a very important role.
