Brachiaria Griseb is an important gramineous forage grown in tropical regions, and also a main grass species uses to restore grasslands in tropical and subtropical regions of China. In August 2022, symptoms of leaf blight were observed on nearly 30% of the Brachiaria forage grass in the base of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, Hainan, China. Symptomatic leaves initially exhibited small, reddish-brown, round or oval spots on their tips, subsequently expanding in size along the leaf margin, and gradually becoming wilted and dry.

To have an insight into the karyotype variation of eight Cucurbitaceae crops including Linnaeus, 1753, Linnaeus, 1753, (Thunberg, 1794) Matsumura et Nakai, 1916, (Thunberg, 1784) Cogniaux, 1881, Linnaeus, 1753, (Linnaeus, 1753) Roemer, 1846, Lagenariasicerariavar.hispida (Thunberg, 1783) Hara, 1948 and Duchesne ex Poiret, 1819, well morphologically differentiated mitotic metaphase chromosomes were prepared using the enzymatic maceration and flame-drying method, and the chromosomal distribution of heterochromatin and 18S-5.8S-26S rRNA genes (45S rDNA) was investigated using sequential combined PI and DAPI (CPD) staining and fluorescence hybridization (FISH) with 45S rDNA probe.

Objective: The published studies regarding the relationships between zinc finger 365 (ZNF365) polymorphisms and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) risk in Caucasians have yielded conflicting results. Therefore, we performed a meta-analysis to clarify this issue.

Methods: The Electronic databases of PubMed, Web of Science, Wiley Online Library, and EMBASE were searched for eligible studies up to 31 November 2020.

Article Synopsis
  • Coffee has two main species, Coffea arabica and Coffea canephora, with a leaf spot disease affecting C. canephora seedlings in Yunnan, China, from 2018 to 2019, resulting in a disease incidence of 15%-20%.
  • The research involved isolating the pathogen from diseased leaf samples, leading to four similar fungal isolates that grew into identifiable colonies with specific morphological features over time.
  • Koch's postulates confirmed the pathogenicity of the fungus by inoculating healthy plants, which then exhibited the same symptoms as the diseased ones, while control plants remained healthy, indicating the association with the observed leaf spot disease.

To extend our knowledge on karyotype variation of the genus Savi, 1824, the chromosomal organization of rRNA genes and fluorochrome banding patterns of five wild species were studied. Sequential combined PI (propidium iodide) and DAPI (4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole) (CPD) staining and fluorescence hybridization (FISH) with 5S and 45S rDNA probes were used to analyze the karyotypes of (Jacquin, 1771) Bentham, 1959, (Linnaeus, 1753) A. Richard, 1845, (Roxburgh, 1832) Ohwi & H.

Using thermal asymmetric interlaced PCR (TAIL-PCR), 39 specifical fragments of Magnaporthe grisea genomic DNA flanked on the T-DNA were successfully amplified from 37 M. grisea transformants randomly selected from the mutants induced by T-DNA insertion in our laboratory. These fragments were sequenced and then compared by BLAST with the sequences of M.
