Gold nanorods (AuNRs) with different aspect ratios were prepared by the seed-mediated growth method and combined with three carbon-based nanomaterials of multiple dimensions (i.e., zero-dimensional (0D) carbon black (CB), one-dimensional (1D) carbon nanotubes (CNTs), and two-dimensional (2D) graphene oxide (GO)).

A cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET) combined with a transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE) can measure exercise performance, disease progression, and treatment effects. We assessed the exercise capacity in children with PV stenosis by conducting CPET and TTE.

Because the sound pulses used by echolocating bats for orientation and rodents for communication are quite different, the basic design of the mammalian auditory system commonly shared by echolocating bats must be specialized in some manner to effectively process their species-specific sounds. The present study examines the difference in the cochlea of these animal species using MRI images and histological techniques.
