Autophagy is essential for maintaining material balance and energy circulation and plays a critical role as a regulatory mechanism in tissue regeneration. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) function as immune regulators in many biological processes in mammals, while their function and underlying mechanisms in invertebrates are largely unexplored.
