Objectives: Atezolizumab monotherapy has marketing authorisation by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency as adjuvant treatment following complete resection for adults with stage II-IIIA non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) whose tumours have PD-L1 expression on ≥ 50% of tumour cells and whose disease has not progressed following adjuvant platinum-based chemotherapy. This study evaluated the cost-effectiveness of atezolizumab vs best supportive care (BSC) in the licensed patient population from a UK perspective.
Materials And Methods: Patient characteristics and clinical inputs were derived from the global, randomised, open-label, phaseIII IMpower010 trial.
Objective: This in vitro study aimed to investigate enamel wear against 3 monolithic ceramics using 2 methods of measurement.
Methods: Three groups of standard flat monolithic ceramic specimens including zirconia-reinforced lithium silicate glass (Vita Suprinity, VITA Zahnfabrik), yttria-stabilised tetragonal zirconia (Lava Esthetic Zirconia), and lithium disilicate glass (IPS e.max Press, Ivoclar Vivadent) were prepared, with human enamel used as the control group.
Introduction: Despite the increasing reports on mechanical aspects of contracted endodontic access cavities (CECs), we believe that the biological aspects (debridement) have not been adequately investigated. This study examined if 1 type of CEC (orifice-directed dentin conservation [DDC] access) was able to debride the pulp chamber, root canals, and isthmus of mesial roots of mandibular molars similar to a traditional endodontic access cavity (TEC).
Methods: Mandibular molars (N = 32) were selected and divided randomly into 2 experimental groups (n = 12) after micro-computed tomographic scanning (group 1: TEC and group 2: DDC) and histologic controls (n = 8).
Modern α-proteobacteria are thought to be closely related to the ancient symbiont of eukaryotes, an ancestor of mitochondria. Respiratory complex I from α-proteobacteria and mitochondria is well conserved at the level of the 14 "core" subunits, consistent with that notion. Mitochondrial complex I contains the core subunits, present in all species, and up to 31 "supernumerary" subunits, generally thought to have originated only within eukaryotic lineages.
