Background: Cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) is a common cause of intracerebral haemorrhage (ICH) with a high recurrence risk. Left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) is a method for ischaemic stroke prevention in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF), potentially reducing the risk of intracranial bleeding in CAA-associated ICH. We aimed to determine the outcomes of patients with AF with CAA-associated ICH undergoing LAAO.

Objective: To summarise the evidence for and against a causal role for human adenovirus (HAdv), adeno-associated virus 2 (AAV-2) and SARS-CoV-2 in outbreaks of paediatric hepatitis in 2022.
Methods: We appraised and summarised relevant evidence for each of the Bradford Hill criteria for causality using quantitative (statistical modelling) and qualitative (narrative coherence) approaches.
Background Breast cancer (BC) is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in women worldwide. There has been a significant increase in the incidence of BC in Pakistan. Family history, older age, obesity, tobacco use, oral contraceptive use, early menarche, and hormonal replacement therapy are among the major risk factors.

The inclination of these teeth may be affected by maxillary and mandibular dimensions. The study aimed to evaluate the correlation between the faciolingual inclinations of maxillary incisors and first molars with palatal width (PW), palatal depth (PD), maxillomandibular angle (MMA) and mandibular width (MW) using cone beam computed tomography scans.

Materials And Methods: We included 80 reported cases of benign and malignant salivary gland tumors and employed β-catenin stain on tumor blocks.
Purpose: To compare the diagnostic efficacy of different relative myocardial blood flow (MBF) ratios in computed tomography perfusion (CTP) for myocardial ischemia in patients with obstructive coronary artery disease (CAD).
Methods: Between October 2020 and March 2024, patients with suspected or known obstructive CAD who underwent CTP + coronary computed tomography angiography and invasive coronary angiography/fractional flow reserve were retrospectively selected. Patients and vessels were categorized into ischemia and non-ischemia groups.
Introduction: Compromised neonatal intensive care unit neonates are at risk of acquiring late-onset infections (late-onset sepsis [LOS]). Neonates born with congenital anomalies (CAs) could have an additional LOS risk.
Methods: Utilising the population-based Australian and New Zealand Neonatal Network data from 2007 to 2017, bacterial LOS rates were determined in very preterm (VPT, <32 week), moderately preterm (MPT, 32-36 weeks), and term (FT, 37-41 weeks) neonates with or without CA.
Paragangliomas (PGs) are rare tumors that most commonly occur in the head and neck region and along the sympathetic chain. Fine-needle aspiration cytology is not commonly used for the diagnosis of PG due to the potential risk of hemorrhage and hypertensive crisis. As a result, limited studies describe the cytological features of PGs.

In this situation Demand Side Management (DSM) is a promising solution to overcome the problem of energy crises. DSM strategy helps to manage consumer demand through energy conservation rather than to addition of new power capacity.

In this retrospective study, 122 patients (including 108 patients with dense breasts) with ambiguous FFDM findings were imaged with both CSC and TSC. Two radiologists independently reviewed the images and evaluated lesions using the Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System.

We developed a Growth Predictive model based on the Wasserstein Generative Adversarial Network framework (GP-WGAN) to predict the nodule growth patterns in the follow-up LDCT scans. The GP-WGAN was trained with a training set (N = 776) containing 1121 pairs of nodule images with about 1-year intervals and deployed to an independent test set of 450 nodules on baseline LDCT scans to predict nodule images (GP-nodules) in their 1-year follow-up scans.

The 1979 Sverdlovsk anthrax outbreak was due to the inhalation of anthrax spores from a military laboratory, confirmed by Russian President Boris Yeltsin in 1992. At the time the Soviet Union insisted that the outbreak was caused by meat contaminated by diseased animals.

The H1N1 strain of 1977 reappeared after being absent from the world for over 20 years. This pandemic simultaneously spread to several cities in the USSR and China.

The Bombay blood group is characterized by the absence of A, B, and H antigens on the surface of RBCs and can be easily missed in routine blood grouping if only forward grouping is performed. In reverse grouping, it is necessary to test the patient's serum with pooled O cells to differentiate between the O and Bombay blood groups.

Materials and Methods In this retrospective study, 1951 participants (female patients, 822; median age, 61 years [range, 55-74 years]) (male patients, 1129; median age, 62 years [range, 55-74 years]) were randomly selected from the National Lung Screening Trial between August 2002 and April 2004. An RRL model using serial LDCT scans (S-RRL) was trained and validated using data from 1404 participants (372 with lung cancer) containing 2525 available serial LDCT scans up to 3 years.

In addition, this paper investigated the mediating role of proactive skill development in the affective trust - innovative work behavior relationship and the moderating role of learning goal orientation in the affective trust - proactive skill development relationship. Data for this study were collected from 220 employees drawn from four FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) companies based in Pakistan.

Most studies have focused on a zoonotic origin, but definitive evidence such as an intermediary animal host is lacking. We used an established risk analysis tool for differentiating natural and unnatural epidemics, the modified Grunow-Finke assessment tool (mGFT) to study the origin of SARS-COV-2.

Unlabelled: This study paper's main goal is to report rare cases of skull base meningiomas that exemplify the complexities of diagnosis, therapy, and postoperative care. By describing these rare cases, we hope to advance knowledge of the clinical signs, difficulties, and prognoses of skull base meningiomas in a challenging anatomical setting. In the posterior cranial fossa, our investigation reveals a unique example of skull base meningioma that involved numerous cranial nerves and complex vasculature.

Current evidence suggests that recent acute respiratory infections and seasonal influenza may precipitate acute myocardial infarction (AMI). This study examined the potential link between recent clinical respiratory illness (CRI) and influenza, and AMI in Bangladesh. Conducted during the 2018 influenza season at a Dhaka tertiary-level cardiovascular (CV) hospital, it included 150 AMI cases and two control groups: 44 hospitalized cardiac patients without AMI and 90 healthy individuals.
