We determined the complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) sequence of Belligobio nummifer, which is known as a cyprinid fish in mainland China, with a long polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method. The total length of B. nummifer mitogenome is 16,610 bp, consisting of 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNAs, 2 ribosomal RNAs genes and a noncoding control region.

The complete mitochondrial genome of the Cyprinid fish Gobiobotia intermedia (Cypriniformes, Cyprinidae) was determined. The complete mitogenome sequence has 16,608 bp and contains the usual 13 protein-coding genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes, 22 transfer RNA (tRNA) genes and a non-coding control region, as those found in other vertebrates, with the gene order identical to that of typical vertebrates. The overall base composition of the heavy strand shows T 26.

We examined the genetic variation and phylogeographic relationships among 10 populations of Lunella granulata from mainland China, Penghu Archipelago, Taiwan Island, and Japan using mitochondrial COI and 16S markers. A total of 45 haplotypes were obtained in 112 specimens, and relatively high levels of haplotype diversity (h = 0.903) and low levels of nucleotide diversity (π = 0.
