[The provision of information for the work of expert councils in conducting competitions for scientific research projects].

The information and calculating system (ICS Konkurs) for accompaniment of the work of Expert Councils of the USSR AMS at competitions of medical research works projects, developed by an IBM, is examined. The system is of high efficiency, permits one to automate a great quantity of routine operations, is easily adaptive to work conditions of any Expert council. The ICS Konkurs can be used at any competitions and in the activities of Scientific Councils of Research Institutes.

[The late results of aspirin treatment in patients with aspirin-induced bronchial asthma].

The paper treats long-term results of aspirin treatment of patients with aspirin-induced bronchial asthma. The data obtained indicate that in this patients' group, the beneficial effect of aspirin treatment is also preserved after its withdrawal at any rate within up to one year. The authors have every reason to believe that such a treatment is unlikely to be applied for life.

[Clinical immunosorbents on a basis of polymeric matrices].

Immobilization of anti-IgE on space-network polymers containing aliphatic amino- and hydrazido groups as a way of producing clinical immunosorbents has been studied. Influence of active group concentration on the specific activity of the immobilized antibodies and sorption dynamics of IgE from plasma of patents are investigated. Immunosorbents can be sterilized by gamma-irradiation without any loss of capacity.

[Current broncholytic and expectorant therapy of patients with chronic nonspecific lung diseases].

Correction of the obstructive syndrome in patients with chronic nonspecific pulmonary diseases using modern broncholytics and expectorants is considered. The chief mechanisms of the formation of the obstructive syndrome (bronchospastic and obturation ones as a result of mucociliary transport disorder) are described. The authors propose a scheme of differential clinical and laboratory diagnosis of the above mechanisms of bronchial permeability disorder.
