Background: It is unknown whether D2 lymphadenectomy + complete mesogastric excision for gastric cancer improves survival compared with just D2 lymphadenectomy.
Methods: Between September 2014 and June 2018, patients with advanced gastric cancer were randomly assigned (1 : 1) to laparoscopic D2 lymphadenectomy or D2 lymphadenectomy + complete mesogastric excision gastrectomy. The modified intention-to-treat population was defined as patients who had pathologically confirmed gastric adenocarcinoma (pT1 N1-3 M0 and pT2-4 N0-3 M0).
The main objective of the present study was to investigate factors related to seafarers' mental health. A sample of seafarers from 12 countries participated in the study. A list of stressors was used to assess both perception of exposure to these stressors and their subjective significance.

However, the safety and efficacy of D2+CME remain uncertain. In this randomized controlled trial, patients receiving D2+CME exhibit less intraoperative blood loss, more lymph node harvesting, and earlier postoperative flatus than patients receiving conventional D2 radical surgery.

This study examines how an occupational commitment and a fun work environment serve as important mechanisms that influence the job demands-turnover intentions relationship. On the basis of the job demands-resources model, the study explored the relationship between job demands, occupational commitment, fun at work, and turnover intention. The hypotheses were (1) that job demands would be positively associated with predicted turnover intention; (2) that occupational commitment would mediate the job demands-turnover intention link and (3) that a fun environment would moderate the relationship between job demands and occupational commitment and between job demands and turnover intention.

Previously, we proposed laparoscopic distal gastrectomy (D2 lymphadenectomy plus complete mesogastrium excision [D2 + CME]) as an optimized surgical procedure for locally advanced gastric cancer. By dissection along the boundary of the mesogastrium, D2 + CME resected proximal segments of the dorsal mesogastrium completely with less blood loss, and it improved the short-term surgical outcome.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of capecitabine as first-line therapy in patients with advanced and recurrent colorectal cancer.
Methods: From December 2000 to November 2001, sixty patients with advanced and recurrent colorectal cancer received first-line capecitabine treatment given at a dose of 1250 mg/m(2) twice daily, on days 1 - 14 every 21 days. At least 2 cycles were administered.

In this study antigen-independent factor in the pathogenesis of chronic rejection of organ transplants was examined. Kidney isografts and allografts were transplanted orthotopically into bilaterally nephroectomized rat recipients and studied functionally, morphologically and immunohistologically, at serial intervals up to 52 weeks after transplantation. Allograft recipients developed progressive proteinuria after 12 weeks, with gradual renal failure ultimately leading to death.
