Article Synopsis
- Layered double hydroxides (LDHs), specifically a NiFe-LDH@MnO/PVDF membrane, were developed to improve wastewater separation due to their hydrophilic properties and ease of synthesis.
- The novel membrane achieved a remarkable pure water flux of 1364 L m•h and increased oil rejection from 81.2% to 93.5%, significantly enhancing performance compared to traditional PVDF membranes.
- With an impressive fouling resistance ratio of 96.8% after water rinsing, the membrane shows great potential for applications in oily wastewater treatment and environmental cleanup.
