Pyrochlore NaYbO: A Potential Quantum Spin Liquid Candidate.

The search for quantum spin liquids (QSL) and chemical doping in such materials to explore superconductivity have continuously attracted intense interest. Here, we report the discovery of a potential QSL candidate, pyrochlore-lattice β-NaYbO. Colorless and transparent NaYbO single crystals, layered α-NaYbO (∼250 μm on edge) and octahedral β-NaYbO (∼50 μm on edge), were grown for the first time.

Facile synthesis of urchin-like Cs WO particles with improved transparent thermal insulation using bacterial cellulose as a template.

Urchin-like Cs WO particles were synthesized using bacterial cellulose (BC) as a template by the hydrothermal method. The effects of the BC addition amount on the morphology, W content and transparent thermal insulation of Cs WO were studied. It has been confirmed that abnormal growth of Cs WO rods was greatly reduced after introduction of BC into the precursor solution.
