Detection of Atherosclerotic Plaques in the Rabbit Aorta Using Ultrasound Microbubbles Conjugated to Interleukin-18 Antibodies.

BACKGROUND The purpose of the study was to investigate the ability of microbubbles (MBs) targeting interleukin-18 (IL-18) to detect plaques in a rabbit atherosclerotic plaque model. MATERIAL AND METHODS A rabbit atherosclerotic plaque model was established. The locations of the atherosclerotic plaques were verified by two-dimensional scanning and color Doppler flow imaging.

Primary adrenocortical sarcomatoid carcinoma: Report of a case.

We report the case of a 72-year-old man with a right adrenocortical mass who had undergone complete tumour excision with the adrenal gland and around adipose tissue. Pathologic examination led to a final diagnosis of primary sarcomatoid carcinoma of the right adrenal gland. The patient was without recurrence at the one year follow-up.
