Background: Research on the association between glioma risk and coffee and tea consumption remains inconclusive. This study seeks to present a meta-analysis of the relationship between coffee and tea intake and glioma risk.
Method: Relevant cohort studies that collected coffee and tea exposure prospectively were identified through searches of the PubMed, Embase, and Scopus databases.
Objectives: Existing evidence suggests that miscarriage and stillbirth are associated with an increased risk of stroke in women. However, the impact of these events on stroke mortality remains unclear. This study aimed to elucidate the potential association between miscarriage and stillbirth and stroke mortality in women.

Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is the most common type of lung cancer and is characterized by a high death rate and a poor prospect for survival. Anoikis, which is a kind of programmed cell apoptosis, is an important factor in the advancement of tumors. Nonetheless, the function of anoikis-related lncRNAs (ARLRs) in LUAD is still not well understood.

Background: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is an important but frequently overlooked risk factor for hypertension (HTN). The prevalence of hypertension is high in patients with OSA, but the differences in clinical symptoms and comorbidities between patients with OSA with hypertension and those with normal blood pressure have not been fully defined.
Methods: This study retrospectively analyzed OSA patients diagnosed for the first time in Lihuili Hospital Affiliated to Ningbo University from 2016 to 2020.
Glioma-associated macrophages (GAMs) are pivotal chains in the tumor immune microenvironment (TIME). GAMs mostly display M2-like phenotypes with anti-inflammatory features related to the malignancy and progression of cancers. Extracellular vesicles derived from immunosuppressive GAMs (M2-EVs), the essential components of the TIME, greatly impact the malignant behavior of GBM cells.

Records on patients' basic characteristics, preoperative and early postoperative evaluations, perioperative complications, and follow-up were collected. A total of 12 unselected, consecutive patients with CD were identified.

The Kaplan-Meier curve, a predictive nomogram mode, and the time-dependent receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve were established to assess the role of TK1 expression in glioma prognosis. TK1 was overexpressed in glioma compared with normal samples, and patients with elevated expression of TK1 had poor overall survival.

However, OSA in older populations has not received sufficient attention. This study examined the clinical phenotypic characteristics of older patients with newly diagnosed OSA.

The resulting damage to the intestinal barrier may affect or be affected by the intestinal microbiota. A prospective case-control was used, including 48 subjects from Sleep Medicine Center of Nanfang Hospital.

Background: The association between glioma risk and body mass index (BMI) remains obscure.
Methods: This study aimed to assess the association between glioma risk and BMI in the Prostate, Lung, Colorectal, and Ovarian (PLCO) Cancer Screening Trial. Cox proportional hazards regression was used to calculate the hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs).
Numerous studies have elucidated the neuroprotective effect of 6-gingerol in central nervous system diseases. However, the potential role and mechanism of 6-gingerol on early brain injury (EBI) after subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) remains poorly understood. Here, we report that 6-gingerol exerts a neuroprotective effect on SAH-induced EBI through the GBP2/PI3K/AKT pathway.

Background: Epidemiological evidence that glioma has a slight male predominance implies that factors associated with sex hormones may play a role in the development of glioma. The association between oral contraceptive (OC) use and glioma risk remains controversial.
Method: In the Prostate, Lung, Colorectal, and Ovarian (PLCO) Cancer Screening Trial of 70,516 women in the USA, Cox proportional hazards regression analyses were adopted to calculate the crude and adjusted hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs).
Background: Receptor for Advanced Glycation End-products (RAGE) is an oncogene abnormally expressed in various cancers. However, the clinical value of RAGE and the biological role of RAGE in lung cancer have not been fully investigated.
Methods: We compared the RAGE expression using several public databases.
The association between Parkinson's disease (PD) risk and alcohol intake is a controversial topic. To systematically assess the association between PD risk and alcohol intake. PubMed and Embase databases were searched for eligible studies with prospective design on PD risk and alcohol intake.

: The gene which encodes a δ-catenin protein (CTNND2) is associated with multiple severe neurological disorders. However, the specific role of in spatial cognition and related mechanisms remains obscure. : In this study, we generated a new line of -Knock out (KO) mice with its exon2 deleted, and then characterized their behavioral phenotypes and explore the Biological mechanism.

Method: Random-effects models were used to pool relative risk estimates (RRs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs).
With the rapid development of detection methods, next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology as a new technology, some novel epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) gene fusions comprising the linked to various fusion partners, most commonly , are detected in the non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). We described a case of an unreported kinesin family member 5B ()- in NSCLC and the efficacy of EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) to this specific fusion. Considering this rare fusion and remarkable response to EGFR-TKI, we should realize the importance of these rare fusions, the advances in diagnostic techniques and personalized care for lung cancer patients.

The gut is a pivotal organ that initiates the pathophysiological processes of multisystem diseases. Intermittent hypoxia resulting from OSA may impair the intestinal barrier prior to the induction of systemic inflammation.

This study evaluated the smoking history of OSA patients and analyzed the association between smoking and OSA comorbidities.
Methods: Retrospective analysis was performed in newly diagnosed OSA patients in our hospital, a tertiary medical center, from January 2016 to December 2019.
Background: The occurrence and severity of excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) vary considerably among obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) patients. This study was designed to investigate the characteristics of EDS and identify its contributing factors in OSA patients.
Methods: This was a cross-sectional study from a tertiary medical center in China.

Background: Inconsistent results of the association between fish consumption and stroke risk have been indicated in previous epidemiological studies. Therefore, we performed a meta-analysis of prospective cohort studies to estimate the impact of fish consumption on stroke risk.
Methods: The PubMed and EMBASE databases were searched through a computer search.
