Objectives: To explore the efficacy of electroacupuncture (EA) based on the "ascending lucidity and descending turbidity" theory in patients with diabetic gastrointestinal dysfunction and its regulatory effect on gut microbiota.
Methods: A total of 48 patients with diabetic gastrointestinal dysfunction were randomly divided into the EA group (24 cases, 3 cases dropped-off) and the control group (24 cases, no dropped off). Both groups received blood glucose control and basic symptomatic treatment.
Rechargeable zinc-air batteries (ZABs) are viewed as a promising solution for electric vehicles due to their potential to provide a clean, cost-effective, and sustainable energy storage system for the next generation. Nevertheless, sluggish kinetics of the oxygen evolution reaction (OER), the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) at the air electrode, and low power density are significant challenges that hinder the practical application of ZABs. The key to resolving the development of ZABs is developing an affordable, efficient, and stable catalyst with bifunctional catalytic.

Objective: To investigate the associated factors of endogenous erythropoietin (EPO) and its association with 10-year risks of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease in a Chinese community-based general population.
Methods: The participants of this study were from an atherosclerosis cohort survey which was established by the Department of Cardiology, Peking University First Hospital in 2011. The cohort survey was performed in the Gucheng and Pingguoyuan communities of Shijingshan district in Beijing, China.
Objective: To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture in the treatment of the vascular cognitive impairment (VCI) associated with cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD-VCI) and to provide a theoretical basis for clinical acupuncture treatment for CSVD-VCI.
Method: Various databases, including China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Data, Chinese Science and Technology Journal Database, Chinese BioMedical Literature Service System, PubMed, the Cochrane Library, and EBSCOhost, were searched for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) related to acupuncture treatment for CSVD-VCI. The quality of the included trials was evaluated, and a meta-analysis was conducted using the Review Manager 5.
Background: The prognostic value of supra-clavicular lymph node (SCLN) metastases in esophageal cancer (EC) is still not clear.
Method: From January 2009 to December 2015, a survival analysis was performed to retrospectively identify the prognostic value of SCLN metastasis on survival on 751 patients with EC treated with definitive chemo-radiotherapy (dCRT).
Results: The median follow-up duration for living patients was 56.
Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Alantolactone (AL), one of the main active ingredients in Inula helenium L., has been included in various prescriptions of traditional Chinese medicine. The effects of AL on cytochrome P450 (CYP450) were still unclear.
