Objectives: To assess if a suprapatellar (SP) approach, when compared with an infrapatellar (IP) approach, yielded less patient-reported anterior knee pain and higher patellofemoral joint function at 6 weeks and 12 months postoperatively, when treating tibial fractures with intramedullary nailing.
Design: Prospective, parallel-group randomized control trial.
Setting: Tertiary level 1 trauma care center, Brisbane, Australia.
Background: The scope of plastic reconstructive and aesthetic surgery is often misunderstood amongst both public and professionals, including the general practitioners (GP) who play vital roles in referring patients. Unlike other subspecialties, which are circumscribed by subgroup patients, specific organs, or diseases, the versatility of plastic surgery is driven by the principle of the surgical technique being malleable to each clinical case. This study aimed to demonstrate how well general practitioners in Kupang City acknowledge the scope of plastic surgery.

Methods: Retrospective cohort study reporting outcomes of 28 consecutive shoulders (27 patients) following total shoulder replacement using a recessed, cemented mini-glenoid implant at two sites.
