Background: Polyautoimmunity is defined as having 2 or more autoimmune diseases. Little is known about polyautoimmunity in patients with cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE).
Objectives: To estimate prevalence and 5-year incidence of non-lupus erythematosus (LE) autoimmune diseases in patients with CLE.
In patients with chronic idiopathic diarrhea resistant to standard treatment, opioids are often used as rescue therapy. This systematic review investigated opioid effects on gut function in chronic diarrhea. PubMed and Embase were searched regarding effects of opioid agonists on the gastrointestinal tract in humans with chronic or experimentally induced diarrhea.

- Thirty-nine healthy participants underwent either active or sham tDCS, with assessments of pain thresholds before and after the intervention.
- The results showed no significant differences in pain thresholds, indicating that the combined tDCS approach did not effectively induce neuromodulation in the participants, suggesting a need for further research on tDCS protocols.
