Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is tightly associated with the increased prevalence of diabetic kidney disease (DKD). Nonetheless, severe renal function impairment and/or nephrotic range-proteinuria could also result from non-diabetic renal disease (non-DRD) among patients with DM. The 'Gold standard' for the differential diagnosis between DKD and non-DRD is kidney biopsy, although no real consensus exists.

Article Synopsis
  • - Granular cell tumor is a rare soft tissue neoplasm that can be classified as benign, atypical, or malignant, usually showing slow growth, though the biology and treatment options for these tumors remain unclear due to their rarity.
  • - The article discusses an atypical granular cell tumor in a patient who experienced a long period of indolence followed by recurrence after surgical removal, resulting in aggressive progression including metastatic disease.
  • - The need for further investigation into treatment options, including chemotherapy and radiation, is highlighted, as current management strategies are largely based on scarce case reports, and outcomes for recurrent or metastatic cases can be severe.

Case Report: Herein, we present two interesting skin sever toxicity cases of lung cancer patients, undergoing PD-1- PDL-1 Immunotherapy.

We describe a critically ill, SARS-CoV-2 positive patient with respiratory failure and thrombotic/livedoid skin lesions, appearing during the course of the disease. The biopsy of the lesions revealed an occlusive, pauci-inflammatory vasculopathy of the cutaneous small vessels characterized by complement and fibrinogen deposition on vascular walls, pointing to a thrombotic vasculopathy. Transmission electron microscopy of the affected skin failed to reveal any viral inclusions.
