Three different eutectic salt mixtures have been brought into contact with three different high temperature alloys to assess corrosion damages for next-generation CSPs. This article contains additional material to support findings and assessments reported on our main article in the Solar Energy Journal [https://doi.org/10.

A mechanistic perspective on the growth of protective oxides on high temperature alloys at elevated temperatures is provided. Early, defect rich transient alumina is understood to form by outwards diffusion of oxygen vacancies and electrons. The impact of transition metal (TM) ions (Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni) on the oxygen vacancy diffusion and electron transport in α-alumina was studied by employing density functional theory.

Objective: To assess the clinical outcome of endoscopic injection in children with vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) and concomittant overactive bladder (OAB).

Methods: A total of 41 patients with VUR and OAB underwent endoscopic injection of dextranomer/hyaluronic acid. At surgery, 13 patients had been successfully treated for their OAB (urgency with or without wetting) with behavior modification with or without anticholinergic therapy, and 28 had persistent OAB despite treatment.

The solid-state precursor cluster chlorides Na(4)[(Zr(6)Be)Cl(16)] and K[(Zr(6)Fe)Cl(15)] readily dissolve in Lewis-basic ionic liquids consisting of mixtures of EMIm-Br and AlBr(3) (EMIm: 1-ethyl-3-methyl-imidazolium) to give dark colored solutions. From these solutions, the cluster phases (EMIm)(4)[(Zr(6)Fe)Br(18)] (1) and (EMIm)(4)[(Zr(6)Be)Br(18)] (2) were obtained in acceptable yields. Crystallographic data of the isostructural phases are the following: monoclinic, P2(1)/c, Z = 2.
