Renal Artery Aneurysm Rupture as a Dangerous Mimic of Ovarian Cyst Rupture: A Case Report.

Introduction: Renal artery aneurysm rupture is a rare but morbid diagnosis, often requiring emergency surgery and nephrectomy. Clinical presentation can mimic more common pathology in non-pregnant women such as ruptured ovarian cyst.

Case Report: We present a case of a woman with a prior history of ovarian cyst presenting with a ruptured renal artery aneurysm.

Creation and evaluation of a novel, interdisciplinary debriefing program using a design-based research approach.

There is a common thread of risk factors and causes of these diseases, including age, male gender, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and connective tissue disorders. The most common presenting symptom of these disorders is pain, usually in the chest, flank, abdomen, or back.

Workplace Violence and Harassment Against Emergency Medicine Residents.

Introduction: Several studies have shown that workplace violence in the emergency department (ED) is common. Residents may be among the most vulnerable staff, as they have the least experience with these volatile encounters. The goal for this study was to quantify and describe acts of violence against emergency medicine (EM) residents by patients and visitors and to identify perceived barriers to safety.
