Introduction: Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) is the minimally invasive procedure of choice for the treatment of large and/or complex nephrolithiasis. Migration of residual fragments (RFs) into the ureter after PCNL is presumed to be uncommon. However, should associated stone-related events (SREs) occur, ancillary procedures may be required.

Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to evaluate how common erectile dysfunction (ED) is among HIV patients in a clinic in Mexico City and identify associated risk factors.
  • About 65.1% of the 109 participants, averaging 39.9 years old, reported experiencing ED, with dyslipidemia being the only significant risk factor identified.
  • The findings suggest that ED is prevalent in HIV patients, highlighting the need to consider dyslipidemia as a key risk factor when assessing ED in this population.

Article Synopsis
  • The report discusses a unique case of a giant multicystic cystadenoma originating from Cowper's glands in a healthy 41-year-old man who experienced acute urinary retention and had a perineal mass.
  • Imaging techniques confirmed the presence of a multicystic tumor, which was successfully removed through en bloc excision, with histological analysis indicating the tumor's benign nature.
  • This case highlights the need to consider cystadenomas of Cowper's glands as a potential diagnosis for pelvic cystic tumors, suggesting that surgical excision can both confirm the diagnosis and serve as a curative treatment.
