Introduction: Pancreaticoduodenectomy is the preferred treatment of neoplasms in the pancreas and duodenum. Postoperative pancreatic fistula is a critical complication. A potential predictive marker is C-reactive protein.

[Uterine rupture caused by placenta percreta in the first half of the pregnancy].

A 32-year-old woman in her 18th week of gestation was admitted to hospital due to abdominal pain and hypotension. A CT scan showed bleeding from the uterus into the abdomen and an acute laparotomy revealed a uterine rupture due to placenta percreta. The placenta was removed and a Bakri balloon was installed in the uterus.

Laparoscopically treated small bowel obstruction due to internal herniation through the broad ligament.

The authors reported a case of small bowel obstruction secondary to internal herniation through a defect of the broad ligament. This is a rare cause of small bowel obstruction. A 42 year-old woman without previous abdominal surgery presented with episodes of abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting.
