Deeply virtual Compton scattering (DVCS) allows one to probe generalized parton distributions describing the 3D structure of the nucleon. We report the first measurement of the DVCS beam-spin asymmetry using the CLAS12 spectrometer with a 10.2 and 10.

Objective: Increasingly, maternal administration of 17-α-hydroxyprogesterone caproate (17-OHPC) is utilized to prevent preterm birth, but the fetal safety of 17-OHPC is still a matter of concern. This study aimed to assess whether exposure to 17-OHPC during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy affects fetal biometry in twin gestations.
Methods: This study included a subset of women with a twin pregnancy who had been previously included in a randomized clinical trial comparing the effectiveness of 17-OHPC and placebo on neonatal outcomes and preterm birth rates in multiple pregnancy.

Methods: A purposive sample of 18 perinatal nurses employed at four different in-hospital birthing centers utilizing nurse-managed labor models participated in audio-taped interviews. Interviews were transcribed and analyzed for themes.
Purpose: The purpose of the study was to describe nursing students' perceptions of their experiences at the 2007 annual conference of the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA), and identify benefits of professional conference attendance as an educational strategy for undergraduate nursing students.

Objective: Misoprostol and sulprostone are prostaglandins that can be used for the termination of second and third trimester pregnancy. The aim of the present study was to compare the effectiveness of both agents for the termination of second and third trimester pregnancy in cases of congenital or genetic abnormalities, and for the induction of labour in cases of intra-uterine foetal death.
Study Design: We collected data from all women who had been treated with misoprostol in the second or third trimester of pregnancy between January 2001 and July 2002 in cases of congenital or genetic abnormalities, and for the induction of labour in cases of intra-uterine foetal death.
There is a certain degree of foetal-maternal transfusion in every pregnancy. The possibilities for using intact foetal cells extracted from maternal blood for prenatal diagnosis are limited. Recently real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) techniques have allowed the identification and quantification of foetal DNA in the maternal blood.

The increasing resistance to antimicrobial agents, now endemic in many countries, reflects an uncontrolled use of antibiotics. A good antibiotics policy and vaccination are at the moment the only way to control efficaciously the increasing antibiotic resistance of Streptococcus pneumoniae.
