Antimicrobial treatment may be necessary to treat flare ups and the use of topical treatments is beneficial to prevent the development of bacterial resistance. Evaluation of a preservative-free, cross-linked sodium hyaluronate-based solution, Lacri +, in dogs with dry eye: a pilot trial.
