Biomarkers in neuroendocrine neoplasms.

Neuroendocrine tumors are a heterogenous group of rare neoplasms with different morphological features, immunophenotype, molecular profile, and clinical presentation. They can derive from any neuroendocrine cell throughout the body, but the majority of NENs is developed in the gastrointestinal tract. They can be divided into two groups, based on hormone secretion, functioning and non-functioning NENs.

Predictors of long-term remission in patients with Graves' disease: a single center experience.

Antithyroid drugs (ATDs) remain the first-line therapy in patients with Graves' disease (GD), despite a high relapse rate. The purpose of this study was to identify the predictors of remission in patients with GD treated with ATDs-retrospective study at an endocrine referral service in Northern Greece. Two-hundred and eleven patients met the study's criteria.

Unlabelled: The clinical and laboratory features as well as the diagnostic and therapeutic approach of men with XYY syndrome have not been fully described. A 41-year-old infertile man was diagnosed as having a 47,XYY karyotype and a micro-prolactinoma. His 32-year-old wife had a history of five spontaneous pregnancies, all resulting in first trimester miscarriages.
