Background: There is no standard treatment to accelerate recovery from melphalan-induced thrombocytopenia in multiple myeloma (MM) patients undergoing autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT). Romiplostim, a thrombopoietin receptor agonist, has been developed to upregulate platelet production.
Objective: This study aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of romiplostim in reducing platelet transfusions post-ASCT in MM patients.
Docetaxel is a chemotherapeutic agent commonly used against breast cancer, nonsmall cell lung cancer, gastric, prostate, head and neck cancer. Docetaxel- or taxane-induced interstitial lung disease (ILD) remains a relatively rare reported adverse event. Although rare, this complication remains an important event to identify and it carries a high mortality.

While several studies have focused on the physiological and molecular aspects of heat stress, there is growing concern that crop quality, particularly nutritional content and phytochemicals important for human health, is also negatively impacted. This comprehensive review aims to provide profound insights into the multifaceted effects of heat stress on plant-nutrient relationships, with a particular emphasis on tissue nutrient concentration, the pivotal nutrient-uptake proteins unique to both macro- and micronutrients, and the effects on dietary phytochemicals.

Methods And Material: Immunohistochemical analysis was performed to evaluate WT-1, Syndecan and Snail expression in Ameloblastoma ( = 20) and OKC ( = 20). Topographical immunoexpression pattern of Ameloblast-like cells, Stellate Reticulum-like cells in Ameloblastoma and basal layer as well as suprabasal layer of cells of OKC were also compared.
The cyber-agricultural system (CAS) represents an overarching framework of agriculture that leverages recent advances in ubiquitous sensing, artificial intelligence, smart actuators, and scalable cyberinfrastructure (CI) in both breeding and production agriculture. We discuss the recent progress and perspective of the three fundamental components of CAS - sensing, modeling, and actuation - and the emerging concept of agricultural digital twins (DTs). We also discuss how scalable CI is becoming a key enabler of smart agriculture.

The corticosteroids have been used for preemptive management of surgical sequelae after mandibular third molar extraction. The aim of this article was to review the efficacy of methylprednisolone versus dexamethasone in the management of postsurgical pain, swelling, and trismus after mandibular third molar surgery. Randomized, double-blinded studies from PubMed, CINAHL, Scopus, DOSS, Cochrane central, and Web of Science were identified by using a search strategy.

In addition to their functions specific to growth and development, they are involved in responding to various biotic and abiotic stress tolerance functions. The appropriate concentration of PA in the cell is maintained by a delicate balance between the catabolism and anabolism of PAs, which is primarily driven by two enzymes, namely diamine oxidase and polyamine oxidase (PAO).

A common after-effect of abiotic stress-induced damage in plants is an increased concentration of reactive oxygen species (ROS) leading to oxidative damage. Glutathione reductase (GR) plays a significant role in curtailing ROS.

Blood pressure (BP) control is of paramount importance in reducing morbidity and mortality in this high-risk population, although there is no consensus on target BP. Ambulatory BP recording is considered gold standard in estimating the BP among patients on dialysis.

Peroxisomes are small, single-membrane specialized organelles present in all eukaryotic organisms. The peroxisome is one of the nodal centers of reactive oxygen species homeostasis in plants, which are generated in a high amount due to various stress conditions. Over the past decade, there has been extensive study on peroxisomal proteins and their signaling pathways in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana, and a lot has been deciphered.

The lepidopteran polyphagous spotted pod borer, causes significant economic losses in legumes including pigeonpea. RNA interference (RNAi)-based gene silencing has emerged as one of the potential biotechnological tools for crop improvement.

Though the pest is managed by synthetic chemicals, exploration of biotechnological approaches for its control is important. RNAi-based gene silencing is one such tool that has been extensively used for functional genomics and is highly variable in insects.

Primary pulmonary Hodgkins lymphoma is a rare and enigmatic neoplasm commonly seen in females. The aim of this case report is to emphasize that pulmonary lymphoma should be considered as a differential diagnosis in a young patient presenting with a lung mass and B symptoms. Extensive clinical details, imaging should be done to rule out the secondary involvement of lung by other lymphomas.

The most common extragonadal site of Nonseminomatous Germ Cell Tumours is the mediastinum. These are similar to their gonadal counterparts in histology but have a poorer prognosis. The association of mediastinal germ cell tumours with blood borne malignancies has been established in many case reports.

Methods: To analyze the sensitivity and specificity of Stress Myocardial Perfusion Imaging (MPI) in diagnosing Stable Ischemic Heart Disease (SIHD) by comparing with "gold standard" Coronary Angiogram.
Results: A total of 80 patients were studied (51 male, 29 female).
Background: Nimotuzumab is an anti-epidermal growth factor receptor monoclonal antibody which can be added to chemoradiotherapy (CRT) to improve efficacy for management of locally advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (LASCCHN). We prospectively evaluated the efficacy and safety of nimotuzumab with CRT for LASCCHN and compared with CRT alone.
Materials And Methods: In this prospective study, 29 LASCCHN (Stage III-IVb) patients received Nimotuzumab plus CRT or CRT alone.
Our knowledge of the proteome of plant peroxisomes is far from being complete, and the functional complexity and plasticity of this cell organelle are amazingly high particularly in plants, as exemplified by the model species Arabidopsis thaliana. Plant-specific peroxisome functions that have been uncovered only recently include, for instance, the participation of peroxisomes in phylloquinone and biotin biosynthesis. Experimental proteome studies have been proved very successful in defining the proteome of Arabidopsis peroxisomes but this approach also faces significant challenges and limitations.

Tumours may produce growth factors and cytokines responsible for signs and symptoms distant to the primary or metastatic site. This may be the first sign of a malignancy and its recognition may be critical for early cancer detection. Moreover, proper diagnosis spares the patient of extensive and expensive search for an alternate cause of the neurological dysfunction.

Our knowledge of the proteome of plant peroxisomes and their functional plasticity is far from being complete, primarily due to major technical challenges in experimental proteome research of the fragile cell organelle. Several unexpected novel plant peroxisome functions, for instance in biotin and phylloquinone biosynthesis, have been uncovered recently. Nevertheless, very few regulatory and membrane proteins of plant peroxisomes have been identified and functionally described up to now.
