The impact of nanosizing on the phase transition mechanisms of electrode materials is still not well understood. In this study, we reveal that nanosizing can lower the energy barrier and entropy changes associated with phase transformations, ultimately improving the electrochemical performance of nanoporous antimony electrodes in comparison to microsized antimony.

However, few studies have considered long-term cumulative blood pressure (cBP) exposure in middle-aged and older population in China. The aim of this study was to investigate whether long-term cBP was associated with subsequent cardiovascular outcomes among participants without CVD at baseline in Chinese over 45 years old.

Methods: Data-independent acquisition (DIA) proteomics was employed to identify differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) between GC and adjacent non-tumor tissues.
Orthotopic tumor model has become an essential tool for studying drug biodistribution and tumor progression over time owing to the rapid development of in vivo imaging and immunological science. Dynamic diffuse fluorescence tomography (DFT) is a promising imaging modality that can map the three-dimensional distribution of a fluorophore within the object and capture the metabolic parameters of fluorophores in vivo. It has been widely applied in tumor detection, drug development, and efficacy evaluation.

However, its practical application is greatly limited due to severe salt accumulation and poor long-term evaporation stability. Herein, an all-cellulose-based wicking fabric (CB@CA/CF) is fabricated via a breath figure template (BFT) method for high-performance and stable desalination.

However, owing to the lack of relevant biomarkers that could predict the efficacy of this treatment, it often has to be maintained. Here we report on a patient with stage IVA squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue who developed an unresectable lesion in the neck after surgery and radical chemoradiotherapy.

Methods And Results: Our retrospective study included 51 paroxysmal AF patients who underwent PFA (PFA group) and were matched with paroxysmal AF patients who underwent RFCA. Nearest-neighbor propensity score matching was performed at a 1:1 ratio (no tolerance to anticoagulant regimens and a tolerance of 0.
Introduction: Multi-drug resistance (MDR) is one of the leading reasons that cause the failures of cancer treatment. Novel agents that may reverse MDR and neutralize drug-resistant cancer cells are highly desirable for clinical practice. The targeting of cellular redox homeostasis and/or mitochondria-mediated energy metabolism are promising strategies for the suppression of drug-resistant cancer cells.

To tackle these challenges, the Chinese medicine formula Shuhe granule (SHG) has been employed in insomnia treatment at Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine. Despite this, there is currently a lack of reliable evidence from evidence-based trials to support the widespread use of SHG in insomnia treatment.

Although some advancements have been made using nanotechnology-based chemotherapy for TNBC treatment, the controlled and on-demand release of chemotherapeutic drugs at the tumor site remains a challenge.
Methods: We manufactured DOX/BaTiO@cRGD-Lip (DBRL) nanoparticles as an ultrasound (US)-controlled release platform targeting the delivery of Doxorubicin (DOX) for TNBC treatment.
Introduction: This bibliometric study systematically analyzes the research landscape of electroacupuncture (EA), focusing on its applications in pain relief and emotional regulation from 2014 to 2024. EA, a contemporary adaptation of traditional acupuncture, has gained significant attention for its potential therapeutic benefits in managing chronic pain and mood disorders.
Methods: Using the Web of Science Core Collection as the primary data source, we identified 537 articles related to EA's therapeutic effects.

Introduction: Incorporating straw into the soil is a sustainable practice that can mitigate some of the adverse effects of excessive N fertilization on soil structure degradation and microbial diversity reduction.
Methods: This objective of this study was to determine the combined effects of straw management (straw return and straw removal) and N fertilization (0, 360, 450, 540, 630, and 720 kg N ha yr.) on crop yields, soil properties, and soil microbial communities in a long-term wheat-maize cropping system.

COPD is a multifactorial illness characterized by a long-term restriction of airflow and an inflammatory reaction in the lungs. The associated emphysema leads to the breakdown of alveolar proteins and abnormal expansion of the lung air spaces. Chronic bronchitis caused by the same disease can result in increased deposition of structural proteins, narrowing of the airways, and excessive mucus secretion leading to acute exacerbation of COPD (AECOPD).

Methods: Snowball sampling was employed to gather data from 515 individuals, aged between 18 and 40 years old, with at least one year of experience in skiing or snowboarding. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and other statistical methods were utilized for data analysis.
Purpose: To describe the temporal trend of endometrial burden in postmenopausal women aged 55 years and above worldwide from 1990 to 2021, evaluate the age cohort effect, explore its influencing factors, and predict the disease burden in the next 15 years.
Patients And Methods: Using Joinpoint regression, data from the 2021 Global Burden of Disease Study were assessed for changes in endometrial cancer incidence rate, morbidity, and mortality in postmenopausal women aged 55 years and above. Age period cohort analysis helped estimate age, period, and cohort effects.
Cellulose is the most abundant component of plant litter, which is critical for terrestrial carbon cycling. Nonetheless, it remains unknown how global warming affects cellulose-decomposing microorganisms. Here, we carried out a 3-year litterbag experiment to examine cellulose decomposition undergoing +3°C warming in a tallgrass prairie.

Objectives: Microorganisms contribute to the pathogenesis of obesity, while more studies focus on gut microbiome. However, the relationship between oral microbiota and obesity has yet to be elucidated. This study was designed to investigate the similarities and differences in the effects of a high-fat diet on salivary and gut microbiota through mouse experiments, exploring the hypothesis that oral microbial mechanisms may contribute to obesity.

Programmable metasurfaces, also known as reconfigurable intelligent surfaces or intelligent reflecting surfaces in wireless communications, have played important roles in enhancing signal coverage and transmission quality, and in building an artificially controlled communication environment. However, most of the realistic implementations are designed in the sub-6G band with a small array scale and 1-bit phase control ability, making the performance improvement not marvelous compared with the traditional solutions.
