General information questionnaire, Decisional Self-efficacy Scale, Social Support Scale, Wake Forest Physician Trust Scale and Decisional Conflict Scale were adopted.

Background: Rare infectious diseases of poverty (rIDPs) involve more than hundreds of tropical diseases, which dominantly affect people living in impoverished and marginalized regions and fail to be prioritized in the global health agenda. The neglect of rIDPs could impede the progress toward sustainable development. This study aimed to estimate the disease burden of rIDPs in 2021, which would be pivotal for setting intervention priorities and mobilizing resources globally.

Method: Employing The Relationship Intimacy Model of Couple Adaptation to Cancer, this study used purposive sampling with the principle of maximum variation to select participants. Sixteen pairs of patients with gastric cancer and their spouse caregivers, hospitalized in the oncology department of a tertiary hospital in Jingjiang City, Jiangsu Province, from March to July 2023, were chosen for semi-structured face-to-face interviews.

Incretins, such as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP), have advanced the treatment landscape of obesity to a new pinnacle. As opposed to singular incretin effects, oxyntomodulin (OXM) activates glucagon receptors (GCGR) and glucagon-like peptide-1 receptors (GLP1R), demonstrating a more dynamic range of effects that are more likely to align with evolving 'health gains' goals in obesity care. Here, we will review the molecular insights from their inception to recent developments and challenges.

This systematic review aimed to summarise current evidence on the associations between -3 and -6 PUFA biomarkers and cardiovascular risk factors and events in healthy Asian populations. Four databases were searched for observational studies from 2010 until 2024.

Axillary nerve: what anesthesiologists and pain physicians should know.

Innervation of the shoulder joint is complex and remains poorly understood among regional anesthesiologists and chronic pain specialists. Current literature supports the important contribution of the axillary nerve to the total innervation of the shoulder, as well as its blockade for perioperative pain and denervation for chronic shoulder pain. However, a description of the entire course of the axillary nerve, the corresponding optimal targets, and the sonoanatomy pertinent to pain intervention is lacking.
